I mainly ordered it and I love it because it doesn't have that line that cuts the sandwich into diagonal to make it a pocket. I just like a grilled fruit sandwich and this does it perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Proctor Silex Extra Wide Delux hot Sandwich Maker is exactly what I have been looking for. It does not take long to toast and melt a sandwich to perfection. Its extra long so it help with making a couple sandwiches at a time. It heats up fast and proportionally toasts the melts evenly on both sides. My favorite part about this hot sandwich melter is it compresses evenly and locks. This helps prevent uneven cooking. It is pretty and it is compact so it goes well with any kitchen appliances and fits anywhere on your counter. It is also incredibly easy to clean. A wipe down is sufficient in most cases. I recommend this hot sandwich maker for its quality and efficiency.

on/off switch. We felt we'd accidentally leave it plugged in. An on/off switch is definitely required for safety.
