I was so scared to try highlighting my own hair for the first time but this was very easy and the color turned out beautiful!  I left the dye on for 30 minutes but next time would leave on for 45 minutes and make the pieces of hair I pulled through a little chunkier!  All in all I'm very happy how my highlights turned out!

I have been using this product for sunny highlights for more than 25 years. I do find the cap not fun nor easy to use . How i do it is probably not how its suppose to used but has worked for 25 years for me! Seperate hair in small amounts and highlight top only then once done with that i do under side of hair and looking in mirror you csn tell where you might need a bit more. The cap is helpful for first timers and medium length hair. longer hair it becomes snarled abd difficult to pull through cap. So  slow and steady should get you the look you want . Remember, there is more than 1 color so check out for blondes (used that as well). find this 1 for burnettes perfect for darker hair colors. Smell isnt to bad and it should give you a caramel color type highlight without the brassy orange

Frost and Tip for Brunettes

I prefer to use foils and take my time but that isn't always possible… the cap works pretty well compared to most boxes of caps at Sally's.
It works well, half decent “toner” and shampoo.

Do your hair at home!

I love how you can pull through just a few, or a lot of strands.  It gives the perfect brightness if you leave it on about 45 minutes.

Easy to do yourself

I love this product!! My hair is medium brown and this kit guves me light, ash blonde highlights. No brassiness, thanks to the toner that is included in the kit! I have used this product for a couple of years now to maintain my highlights, so i have saved money not gaving to go to a salon for color. Now i have several family members that use this product as well. We love it!!!!

Love this product!!

The hook was difficult but the results were worth it. The strands blended in extremely well. It doesn't go straight up to your roots which can be good and bad for some people. In my experience it was good. I wouldn't definitely recommend. I will buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I misunderstood the product labeling.  I wanted the darker hair in the picture not the lighter streaking.

The idea and concept is good. the cap holes just aren't big enough and very frustrating. can take a long time to pull the hairs through each of those holes you got to be a better way

i followed the directions exactly! i woke up to grey highlights! While trying to figure out what happened, I learned the stuff you put in your hair at the end so it doesn't get coppery (I forgot what its called, primer maybe?)is supposed to be washes out or it can turn your grey....but the directions say not to rinse. j dug the instructions out and confirmed they said to leave it in. They turned me grey faster than mother nature is trying to! 😫

Don't do it! Absolutely terrible! My hair is orange! The cap is a complete nightmare! We had to poke holes in it after it was on my head which took forever, and then when I went to rinse I could not get it out! Had to literally cut it out! I lost gobs of hair, and then had to cut more out from the tangles. My hair feels like straw, I had to use two deep conditioners to even be able to get a comb through it…they don't give you conditioner and want you to leave a purple rinse in…I literally can't because my hair was in terrible condition before the conditioner. FIVE HOURS later and I hate my hair, going to have to spend more money to get it fixed..
