It was great to be able to find 5 of my favorite Prym Ergonomic crochet hooks for an affordable price!  Even with osteoarthritis, I can crochet for hours with no pain when using these hooks.  Now, they have come out in lovely colors, as well!  A perfect set of wonderful hooks!

I've been wanting to try these Prym hoo since I saw them on Arne & Carlos a year ago. I was a little concerned about plastic needles. It turns out theses are wonderful. They are smooth and sleek but not quite as slick as metal. I like that. Also, the tip of the hook is nice and pointy. This makes moving the hook through tighter stitches really nice. Finally, I like the feel of the handles. I've always liked a fatter utensil. It is comfortable to hold and helps with fine motor control. I have used these with wool, cotton, acrylic and polyester scrubby yarns. The hooks worked beautifully with each of these. The pointy tip was particularly helpful with the scrubby yarn. I love these hooks and would highly recommend them.

A Set of Lovely Hooks

Love these hooks and you cant beat the price!! I can crochet for hours without hand pain. They feel really nice in my hand and the neck is so smooth that it does not snag my yarn. I have a lot of hooks and I have tried Clover but these  are so much better. In fact, I returned the clover and only use these. Etsy sells a single hook for half the cost of this pack of 5. Very good deal.

These hooks are extremely light with the smoothest hook and neck I've felt - better than both the Tulip Red and Clover Armour that I have.  The handle is oval and a nice diameter for gripping.  I like the handle length because I don't get the end of the hook pressing into my hand. The head is sharp but not too sharp, gliding between splitty bamboo yarns. The hook size is impregnated near the end of each hook and can't rub off.  The shaft is long enough to stack lots of sistches for fans and laces.  The hook is almost but not quite I line without the sharp feeling of Bates hooks, and deeper than that found on Clover Armour hooks.  Finally, these are made in Germany and very high quality. Strongly recommended.

High Quality, German made hooks

While these hooks are aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to hold, they do not provide a smooth crocheting experience. I have tested them with various yarns, and they consistently made the process challenging. The hooks tend to squeak, making it difficult to maintain consistent tension and stitches. Additionally, the yarn does not glide smoothly on the hook, leading to an inconsistent crocheting experience.

For context, I have been crocheting for a couple of years now and have developed a deep passion for the craft. My dedication to crochet has led me to learn how to read patterns, start new projects, and explore various yarn and hook reviews. In comparing Prym hooks, I find Furls Metal hooks and Clover Amour hooks to be significantly superior, with a noticeable difference in performance between these and the Prym hooks. I would suggest that anyone looking for a smoother and more enjoyable experience try other hooks first. For those still interested in trying Prym hooks, I believe they are available with millimeter measurements instead of letter measurements on Amazon.

Beautiful and comfortable, but not that useable.

they're garbage! the 3 smallest ones broke without much tension. i was just trying to do a double crochet into the back loop.
