i have been painting as a pro for a few years now, and besides the occasional wooster that sneaks into the brush bucket they are all purdy's. can't beat the finish and durability, i don't want to spend all evening cleaning brushes when i get home from the job. i would like to find a clear cut or a xl elite in cub size. i really like the stubby handles they are easy to get into alot of places.

I am no professional but I have spread a lot of paint. Currently, I am restoring an old K-Framed, steel bench from the late fifties. I am using Rustoleum to paint the frame. I chose Blue Hawk 2" brushes to do the priming and the Aluminum Color from Rustoleum which, as always with gold and silver, is very thin. The blue hawks actually worked pretty good. For the gloss red and white, I selected a Wooster premium brush for all oil based paints and it was a piece of junk. I wouldn't load nor spread right and left a terrible finish. I bought a couple of Purdy XL Elite Dales to continue and WOW are they ever nice. They load and hold excellently and they spread so smoothly and evenly, that they made me look like a pro. I was impressed and think that they are the best brushes I have ever used. Great product you guys!

This brush was a pleasure to paint with. I'll admit I'm totally biased, Purdy brushes are the best. With brush, paint (or oil based products) is easy to apply. Brush retains stiffness after hours of use. Brushes are easy to clean-up. Love the products, highly recommend.

Excellent product

The filaments are a perfect blend of firm and soft. The handle fits my hand perfectly. Easy to use, even when having to extend over upper cabinets.

It was an awesome brush for cutting in all my corners and seams. Holds the paint well and best of all leaves no streaks that some of the other brushes we tried did. Cleans up very easy and just as soft the next time you go to use it and looks brand new everytime. It was a great choice!

Great choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I am not a professional. That being said I am venturing out and doing some home renovations myself. I was excited to try this Purdy brand paint brush. I do have a cheaper brush but after trying this brush I now know the difference. So far I have painted two doors and used the Purdy xl 3.0 and another Purdy brush. They work great!!  They feel and fit good in your hand. I am very pleased with the outcome. This brand cleans up nice and I am told they will last me a long time if I take care of them. I do recommend this brush.  One last thing, keep the package it came in and after you clean it hang it up and put it back in the package it will help to keep its shape.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality paint brushes make a world of difference in painting.  If you have never used a quality brush, try it.  You will never go back to the budget brushes.  Purdy makes a great quality brush where bristles don't detach and remain well formed.  
The XL Elite is the trim brush you need to try for moldings, casings, and such.
Take care of your brush and they will last a long time.

Purdy is the way to go.

This brush is excellent for cutting in walls/ceilings. It can also hold a decent amount of paint. i used it on fresh drywall recently and my cut lines were superior. Great Job again Purdy, thanks for making my jobs a little easier.!

Spend a fortune on the XL brush and split after first time using, brush looks and feels great but that's it. Thought it was down to me painting until I gave it to my father to try and same thing worst brush ever, can't even take it back. Using a contractor pro brush and best brush I have ever used.
