Went for job interview yesterday they wanted me to cut in a door for them I pulled this Purdy Moose out they looked at it and said oh no that brush is wore out I said nah this is a Purdy it'll shape back up once it hits the paint so I painted the door and got the job now they want to buy me some more of Purdy brushes. The Purdy Moose and Purdy Swann brushes are the 2 best brushes ever made and as all Purdy brushes will last you a lifetime if properly cleaned I give em a 10 star rating. You wanna make your House Pretty buy a Purdy!!!

I also did a great job where the walls meet the ceiling, I like to think the brush helped with my perfect stroke. Very soft for delicate spaces around trim and such, even though it is a big brush.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this 3” Purdy Medium Stiff Nylon/Polyester XL-Glide brush to stain an old bench that needed care.   The stain held in the brush and didn't drip!   I wish I had a video to show how nicely the stain held in the brush until I got it to my wood!  The stain brushed in smoothly with no brush marks.   Also, no bristles were left behind. The brush cleaned up perfectly; no stray bristles.  Love this brush; with care, it should last a long time.   It pays to buy quality brushes and take care of them.   It's really a great brush; no bristles fell out while using and the paint or stain stays in the brush.   It doesn't drip like cheap brushes.  Purdy does a quality brush.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] these brushes are nice and light and made of sturdy material. they are easy to use and the angled brush tip made it very easy to paint at an angle and get in the corners to "cut-in" the sides. easy wash and clean-up. and they come with a hole on the handles which makes it easy to hang and dry after easch use.

The quality of the Purdy brush is stellar.  We will not buy cheap paint brushes that shed & are ready to be trashed after one use.  We completed two staining projects with this & they look great.  With proper care, this brush will last a long time.

Great paint brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First: Purdy is the ONLY brush I'll use. I've been using them for many yrs because they are the best! This XL 2.5 in. brush is perfect for big and not so big , jobs. The angle is perfect for cutting in on walls or putting stain on a deck. Gives great results on whatever you're doing. I highly recommend these brushes!

Purdy XL Stiff brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently received the XL Glide and it has been very useful. We used it to paint and seal our patio set, and we got great results. It not heavy and works with most paints, we definitely recommend it.

Great Paint Brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I generally use a bigger brush than this so it was a bit of a change for me. For the size of the brush it holds plenty of material to move along.  The tenex bristles cut with laser precision,  while the handle is very ergonomic.  This won't replace my everyday trim brush,  but will have a place in my box for certain applications.

I've tried to like the XL series for years, they're the top recommended brush of my mentor and coworkers. But I always encounter the same problems with the XL brushes. When new, the bristles split into 2-3 sections, leaving big gaps for paint to drip out of. Sometimes this splitting goes away after 3-4 uses, in the case of the latest XL 3.5" I bought; It hasn't gone away after a month of use. 

The filaments are soft and ideal for fine detail work, but release paint inconsistently. I find myself dipping more than I should have to to get an even coating of paint. Not to mention the filaments bend and get misshapen easily. 
And as someone who thoroughly and meticulously cleans my brushes, something about the XL filaments binds to paint. There's no avoiding it in my experience. The paint that begins to dry on the upper part of the bristles near the ferrule always binds to the filaments.

To me it seems this brush is designed to wear out and be replaced quickly. Out of all the brushes I use, the XL's wear and need replacement the fastest.
I like the design of the 3.5" sash, but the filaments used fall short for all the reasons listed above.

Useful, but dont last.
