I love this puppy food, it's the healthiest out there for large breed German Shepherds. All most no chicken in it which is important since German Shepherds can be allergic to it. I feed it to all of my GSD puppies for the first 2-3 years. Unfortunately the price is no longer in my budget due to inflation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We switched to this version of Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy dry food after noticing our puppy was having stomach troubles with chicken (very common with the breed). It was a very easy transition to the Salmon version and he loves it. I can't wait to see him continue to grow with this food. 

We usually get the largest possible bag and store it in stainless steel buckets with a tight lid. It seems to store well until it is time to refill. We are very pleased with it.

The other one is 17 years old. The 17-year-old has sensitive skin and is always itching and now the redness on her skin is gone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my puppy on chicken and found his stomach was always upset and tried switching him to the lamb and rice hills formula for large breed and he was still having issues. Per the back of the bag, chicken was still a key component in that food (pretty much all hills options). Switched him to this one that did not have chicken anywhere on the ingredient list and now my puppy is having more solidified stools and hasn't been itching as much.

She was already eating a Purina pro plan, dry dog food, after noticing these issues, I decided to switch her over to the sensitive skin and stomach for the large breed puppy formula and I couldn't be more satisfied. It's only been three days and she is showing it beyond noticeable improvement when it comes to the itching she was experiencing, which was causing her hair loss. Her hair is already grown back. I really seriously could not be more happy.! I recommend this 1000%.

We couldn't give him any treats or different foods as he would get diarrhea.  He just turned 1 years old. He seems have gotten board so we just bought the sport development 30/18 and mixing the 2 to see if we can transition to the new food and will get his interest again.  Did great for a whole year.   He is getting a big boy tummy now :)

Pro plan is very expensive now! its good for dogs, but way, WAY too expensive! Walmart, take the financial hit. Make it a "Loss Leader"
