I have a dog that had Parvo as a puppy. I could never get his stool firm and the same thing as an adult. This dog food totally changed his stool to normal and he is thriving  as a three year old. Also, I have another dog that has colitis and he is doing great on this food too. I tried dog foods that “appeared” had better ingredients but never fixed the problem. This Purina ProPlan formula has been so successful! I would highly suggest this food for dogs with stomach issues.

After many bouts of diarrhea it turned out that my golden puppy was allergic to chicken and had a sensitive stomach. Purina Pro Plan large breed sensitive stomach puppy food was an excellent choice for my puppy. He is now 15 months old and we are just switching over to the adult version. He is happy and healthy and loves his food.

Our Wheaten puppies require a high quality, wheat-free formula for maximum growth and energy. We first tied the Chicken and Rice version, but every pup came down with serious diarrhea. Ewe switched to the Salmon and Rice formula and have excellent results. The puppies eat it right up and always solid stools.

Has really helped my puppy

Loving this puppy food

I've used this food on a few litters recently where clients have wanted a different protein than chicken to feed their puppies. I find the pups do very well on the salmon formula and I feed the adult version to several of my breeding girls. A great product and does not smell overly fishy.

Salmon and rice formula great for puppies

My pup has a chicken allergy. We switched to her to this and her rash cleared up and her coat is shiny! The smell is not that pleasant, but she doesn't mind it!

Great, Shiny Coat

I have an 8 mo old chi mix.  She was on a chicken based kibble, but she was extremely itchy and had lots of dander.  She was practically brand new.  :) Millie ate some white fish kibble and loved it.  It wasn't puppy kibble.  I read the reviews for Proplan puppy Salmon recipe.  The itchiness and dander has almost stopped.  I eliminated all chicken products from her diet, and she loves the kibble.  She's doing great.

My puppy has been eating this food for a few months, and she's doing excellent on it. But there was clearly an unannounced formula change, and I have no idea whether to be concerned or not - just like the reviewer below there's some weird bits on her food. I feel terrible because I had fed it to my puppy for a few days without noticing. Can someone help?

Formula change - kibble has weird things on it?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay so I would of made this review sooner , but I was taking care of my puppy because she got sick because of the dog food. She just now starting to feel better. I received the package in the afternoon and read the ingredients. I thought LouLou ( my puppy) should be fine its made by the same company. She eats twice a day, she ate the new dog food in the evening of me getting the package and then the morning of the next day Sunday May 24, 2020. Within 2 hours of eating the food, my puppy started to getting diarrhea the entire day. She used the bathroom more than 10 times that day which is VERY uncommon for her. I immediately started her back on her normal dog food but she wasnt really eating that either because she wasnt well. Although shes a pup, she got the potty thing down pack. She normally makes it known that she has to potty, but she wasnt able to alert me soon enough and for a week she was using the bathroom in the middle of the night, and I got carpet ! So now Im supper tired and then she threw up 3 times in 10 minutes so I had to take her to the Vet and have to get antibiotics for her. She feels better now and back to her normal self. I have switched her food before and this he never happened. but this dog food is a no for me. I would not recommend at all.
