Love this dry food for my senior dog.  Vets approved and my dog loves it too.

Great for senior dogs.

My dog was constantly scratching. His skin was red and inflamed. I had to bathe him once a week because he just stunk.  I had him on the regular Pro Plan but i thought I'd  give this a try.  After 2 weeks I could already tell a difference. Within a month his skin was normal and his coat was thicker and so shiny! Baths are now only when he gets dirty. I guess he was allergic to something in the regular food. I am so glad I switched.  I could have spent a fortune in vet visits and medications and he still would have been miserable.

I don't like that it's only available online. Or, that it's kibble. For the price, it should be freeze dried. But, my vet recommended it, so I gotta do what my vet says.

The 24%23 bag is higher in protein than most; wish there was a little more fat, but that can be augmented with supplementation. Quality ingredients .  Loved by both my dogs.  Stool quality and quantity have improved—other brands seem to be inefficient at providing nutrition with excessive elimination.  Wish it came as bigger bag.

Do not buy this for your senior dog with stomach sensitivities. Our vet recommended this food instead of our dog's usual prescription diet, and I trusted that advice. Within just 3-4 hours of eating it, my 13-year-old companion began to bloat, which led to her stomach twisting (GDV)—a fatal condition. We were unable to save her. It was the most devastating experience of my life.

Since then, I've read countless similar reviews and personally know others who had serious issues after feeding this food. I now question why veterinarians are recommending it and why it's still being sold. This product is dangerous and should be taken off shelves immediately. Please trust your instincts and research deeply before giving this to your dog. I wish I had.
