This was recommended by my vet for my former feral male kitty. He was very overweight. Within about 6 months he has lost most of the weight he needed to lose and it is also fine to feed my other 3 kitties as well. Even my pickiest eater loves this food!

Better ingredients than cheaper food. Trying to keep my cats from having high blood sugar from too much weight and carbs. Would feed them wet food but, the one I'm most concerned about wont eat wet food. They love it.

Affordable better grade cat food

I've used this for a few years now as recommended by the vet for my overweight cats. They all seem to love the food and have never had any issues with it. The vet says to give each cat about 3/4 of a cup each day and limit the amount they eat (check with your vet of course). Also giving the cat plenty of water (a small running water fountain works great!) will help them feel more full and it's always more healthy to drink more water as most cats don't get enough. I hope this is helpful!

my older kitty was getting so bound up inside from his previous food designed for inside cats. He needed cleaned out under anesthesia on multiple occasions.   he needed a monthly arthritis shot and a daily medicine to help with bowel movement.   
the problem is now completely eliminated.

Our beautiful girl gained so much weight within 2 months of being spayed, so we are transitioning her to this as she was previously on another Purina brand. It's too early to say much, but no gastric issues during transition and she seems to enjoy it. Time will tell!

Depends on what you're looking for in the food - I was trying to find something that would help mine with weight loss. Yes, this is high in protein but way too high in carbs. Make sure you look at percentages of ingredients before purchasing anything
