This was recommended by my vet for my former feral male kitty. He was very overweight. Within about 6 months he has lost most of the weight he needed to lose and it is also fine to feed my other 3 kitties as well. Even my pickiest eater loves this food!

Better ingredients than cheaper food. Trying to keep my cats from having high blood sugar from too much weight and carbs. Would feed them wet food but, the one I'm most concerned about wont eat wet food. They love it.

Affordable better grade cat food

my older kitty was getting so bound up inside from his previous food designed for inside cats. He needed cleaned out under anesthesia on multiple occasions.   he needed a monthly arthritis shot and a daily medicine to help with bowel movement.   
the problem is now completely eliminated.

I've used this for a few years now as recommended by the vet for my overweight cats. They all seem to love the food and have never had any issues with it. The vet says to give each cat about 3/4 of a cup each day and limit the amount they eat (check with your vet of course). Also giving the cat plenty of water (a small running water fountain works great!) will help them feel more full and it's always more healthy to drink more water as most cats don't get enough. I hope this is helpful!

Vet Recommended

Our beautiful girl gained so much weight within 2 months of being spayed, so we are transitioning her to this as she was previously on another Purina brand. It's too early to say much, but no gastric issues during transition and she seems to enjoy it. Time will tell!

She likes it

Our Noodles is an extremely picky eater. We used another Purina dry food and were so afraid to change since that was a food she would actually eat. When I brought this bag home she tried to get it open. This instantly became a food she would run to the food cabinet for when she heard us walk towards it. And it helped her get back to a healthier weight.

My multi-cat, multi-aged cat household has been on Pro Plan Weight Management and Pro Plan canned food for years. All of my cats remain at healthy weights, with beautiful skin and coats, and have no GI issues. Cat owners you know what I mean!

Great maintenance food for multi-cat household.

Depends on what you're looking for in the food - I was trying to find something that would help mine with weight loss. Yes, this is high in protein but way too high in carbs. Make sure you look at percentages of ingredients before purchasing anything

High Carb?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been on a quest trying to find a food that works for my persian's since the discontinuation of true instinct and nOW Purina Beyond which they still preferred true instinct and the kibble size and meaty pieces in the true instinct . I really wish they would bring it back! I tried the weight management chicken for a month over a slow period of time and with saddened news, its back to the drawing board. It was not their fav, and unfortunately made one of my cats vomit on different occasions. I opted to go back to go what they were eating as kittens, Purina healthy kitten and have not had one of the 7 refuse the food or vomit. I hope this helps those like myself, struggling to find a new go to food for my adult persians!The purina true instinct chicken grain free was PURfect in all aspects, please bring it back !
