I have used the 20lb Purina Deer Food bloacks for many years, I have Great sucess in Maryland with these block.. They last 1-3 weeks in my area. Tried other deer food blocks , and none compared to the Purina Blocks, you can't go wrong with them

I didn't know what would work best so I put out multiple different blocks and feed to bring deer into my trail camera. These blocks and acorn rage seem to be the favorites. Over 6,000 deer pictures in just two weeks

Deer love it

This is by far the best block. I have tried all and the Purina block outperforms all.

The Best

We put a block out with a few apples. We had deer on it within ten minutes.  They have been on it constantly.

I wanted something to keep out and offer a supplemental food source at all times- this was a solid option and the deer flocked to it.

They took to it immediately

I put the block out about 4 days ago due to the heavy snow cover.  Deer found it immediately and we had as many as nine deer at one time waiting for their turn.  The block is nearly gone.

I started using this block when it first came out. Deer loved it. Yes it was hard but didn't stop the deer. Have pics from start to finish. Supply was very limited last couple of years. This year I purchased 10 blocks. Something has changed. Rain causes them to melt into a pile. Way too soft. Would I recommend it. Yes and no.

Block has changed

I've been buying this block for about 4 months.  Up until two weeks ago the deer were demolishing it.  I was going through at least one block per week.  I purchased two blocks a couple of weeks ago.  The deer did not touch them.  They tried, it seemed the block was too hard for them.  I bought a third block with same results.  I tried soaking the block in a bucket of water to soften it up.  They ate the soft part and left the rest.  Maybe the recipe changed or a bad batch, I don't know.  The deer and I are feeling disappointed now.

Not sure now

First time trying Purina Deer Blocks.  Two different versions.  Same problem.  When it rains as it does a lot in Oregon, the top few inches turns to mush.   In this oatmeal form, I suspect when certain other animals besides deer, like raccoons or even coyotes come along, they will gorge on the easy tasty nutritious meal.  Making these not last long at all.   Deer do like them too but I think you need a 'Wet Climate' Variety Deer Block!    If you do come up with a Wet Climate variety, I'd like to try them.

I set two blocks out four weeks ago for the deer,  My cameras show a lot of activity on cracked corn and deer nuggets.  The blocks have hardly been touched.  Premium price paid for a less than mediocre product.
