This is a really nice piece of audio equipment. It is far better than I thought it would be, due to the very affordable price. It is well manufactured, the controls seem very durable, and the sound is just what is on the cassettes I'm copying. I am very happy with my purchase.

My old deck died and I was sad until I started using this PYLE PT649D. Great  Dual Deck! Perfect for dubbing. Looks great and works great too.

Bought this deck because my Sony Dubbing Deck that I have had for 30yrs finally gave up the ghost. I just got it and have done a preliminary check and everything works as expected. You can't beat the price at Walmart. I have tried several of my old cassette tapes and they all seem to work well.

Great Cassette Dubbing Deck

Although we did not know this brand we took a chance and are glad we did.  This unit has performed very well so far and we have no reason to think it will not continue to.  We did not give 5 stars simply because it's not a well known brand and we haven't had it very long.

Pleased with purchase

There was no specific statement in the description saying the unit did not contain speakers.  I purchased it hoping it did.  I did not know that a "rack mount" unit required a separate speaker be attached.  I found that the sound bar for my TV has the RCA cable input and am using that. However. It limits my usage to the one location.  It would have been very nice to have other options for sound output from the unit that would couple with speakers with later technology.  I'd say the description of the unit should include more technical data.
The tracking counter has not worked from the beginning.  I must now decide if it matters enough to me to pursue the inconvenience of a repair effort.  (I purchased the two year extended warranty).

Somewhat Disappointed

Was very disappointed with this product. Would not come on right out of box, had to shut on and off several times before it would power up. Then would not play cassettes, tape doors would not stay closed, Never got any sound. Returned it the next day.  This product is faulty, and cheaply made.  I will not buy this brand again.

Really not a viable option for those wanting to record old cassette tapes onto your computer. This unit was the cheapest player that I could find NEW to convert some old cassette tapes to mp3's. From the moment I plugged it in I knew it was a waste of money. There is an audible hum coming from this unit even when it is turned off. The hum is so loud that I had to unplug it. Do not waste your money. I found a great old dual cassette player at a local pawn shop for half of what this thing cost.
