parts missing

I have just bought it to use for my 500 W devices I got from out USA.
The first thing in the instruction is" Make sure the appliance to be plugged in uses fewer watts than the transformer rating"
I do not know what does the 500 watt that is written in its specification that made me buy it from the first place.
Now, I am looking for a way to return it with it even using it once :( .
