Must have someone computer savvy to install the timeclock & setup.

Manual could be clearer. Manual should be written with the customer in mind. Not everyone is a computer whiz. A regular person should be able to look up on the index to find where to find a particular item. A regular person should be able to read the instructions & be able to understand the instructions. A regular person should not have to read between the lines for additional instructions. A regular person is the one buying items.

Biometric Time Clock

Looking for something to track time within the office without the wear and tear on cards or having to remember a card to punch in and out during the day. The fingerprint time clock served the purpose perfectly. So far so good!

Does the job

Best thing we have done, no more adding up hours or breaks, works great with Quickbooks.

Time Guardian Fingerprint Biometric Time Clock

I have used this brand before, but not this model. But I tried  it our because I wanted my employees to be able to punch in without touching the clock because of the pandemic. And they love it, and so do I. I had a question on set up and customer service was strong, and very politely told me what I was doing wrong LOL. My employees prefer the proximity cards to the fobs, but there is another option. Pyramid Time Systems time clocks are Made in the USA too. Great quality and good buy.

Have used this time clock for almost a year and very pleased with this purchase. Easy to use and has telephone support if needed. Able to use a pin for anyone with issues of it reading their fingerprint - so it works for everyone.

Compared to other products Guardian has the most features for the price withno hidden fees for interface programs!

Excellent Value

Wanted to replace fingerprint time clock software that was last updated 2006. Thought that since this is integrated with Quickbooks it would be far advanced from what we had. This time clock did not fit our needs or was not user friendly. It took about 2 hours to get 22 employees from quickbooks into this software. I could have added manually faster but thought I was doing something wrong, so kept trying. Very quirky software and system. I networked the software and that was fine, but the software had too many problems to list. Also had my assistant use for 2 days to make sure I just wasn't missing something. I hoped this would work for us, but after several tries, and other input did not. Good Luck To All!

Tried but sent back

I used a similar system by Lathem for about 18 months and bought this one because it has both keypad and fingerprint - some employees couldn't use the Lathem because it wouldn't take their prints. The Lathem unit took a lot of abuse but lasted 18 months.
I have attempted to get on the phone with TimeGuardian customer service at least 8 times in the past week to resolve a problem with installation that won't let the computer communicate with the FTP40 unit. The disk has no drivers and the manual is very poorly written. I'm sending this one back and ordering a new Lathem unit.

Terrible Customer Service

I was very excited to by this product based on reviews on site. To my disappointment their software is horrible. After 40 min of wait, Tech support was useless. They confirmed that the users I create using PC applications do not automatically sync to the unit. I was asked to create user accounts both in PC and in the unit itself. I have 100+ employees, it was impossible to feed that kind of data using the little key pad. . This is insane. Flawed technology and tech support was not able to explain why data base won't sync.
I had to return two units I bought. Sorry I had to give one star- no other option to go lower than that.
