Good tasting, however I tend to get at least one piece that is too thin or disintegrates while the rest keeps in tact.

Good for those minding their health.

I haven't tried rice cakes in years and I remember them as being kind of tasteless and boring. They have come a long way and I was surprised how tasty these were, even plain. They satisfied my craving for crunch without resorting to unhealthy potato chips. I ate mine plain and also spread with nut butter and jam. They are really versatile as they can be sweet or savoury depending on how you top them. I liked that they were sturdy enough to hold up to any topping and they don't crumble when I bite into them. This was a nice, filling snack when I didn't have the time or energy for anything too involved.

Versatile with toppings but great plain

Great bread replacement.

I buy these every week, I  use them as a "bread" or cracker. You can top with anything and everything. I have drizzled with honey, added a bit of cheese, cajun pepper and turkey. GREAT for snacking!

I have been buying these for years, super light, crisp and the perfect size for a snack. If you like and need to have that "crunch" when you eat, this should be your go to.

That CRUNCH!

I love these rice cakes. They have a nice crunch but they also melts in your mouth. The original/plain variety is nice, because you can add your choice of topping. The rice cakes have a nice neutral rice flavour, so they go well with anything. They also taste good without anything else though! These make a convenient and healthy snack for the whole family.

Healthy, and excellent with toppings!

Anyone looking to lose weight can't lose with these... at only 35 calories each.  I spread some creamed cheese on top and they're delicious.  Peanut butter is great too, but more calories.

Delicious and Light

I was selected to try these for #Free and give my honest opinion, so as soon as they arrived my kids dug into them. They really liked them it didn't take them long to all the rice cakes. I like that they are healthy and good for us to eat and i really like that I can take them along with me while doing errands easy snacks that are good for me. They taste good and are the perfect healthy snack when you are hungry but don't want to ruin your next meal.

Great product

It's been a long time since I've had rice cakes, but man am I glad I received this product to review. I've totally forgotten how much I love them! I've had them with my homemade Nutella - yum! And I had one with pumpkin seed butter and strawberry jam (my version of PB & J) so so good! I would've taken a photo, but it didn't translate well, but I guarantee you it was super tasty and hit the spot!

A forgotten fave

This is a very basic rice cake. When I opened the package, the typical rice cake smell hit me  - that grainy, puffy smell that reminds me of calorie restriction and sadness. Nevertheless, I ventured in. I removed one from the package and broke one in half. It reminded me of styrofoam. I bit into one. Again, as it broke apart in my mouth, I felt that styrofoam-y feel, and the distinct flavour of rice cake that took me back to diets of caloric deficit and tears. I took two out and spread peanut butter on one, cottage cheese and cucumber with salt and pepper in the other. With my toppings, I found that the rice cakes were more palatable, giving my accoutrements a toasted rice flavour. As a base for spreads and toppings, the rice cakes are passable. Alone, I found that they are not very appetizing.

Best when dressed up

The product is actually quite good.  You would need to eat it with something else though, as it's dry in nature, but if you combine it with peanut butter or almond butter, it's fantastic.  If you haven't tried this product, it's definitely worth the effort.  And, depending on whether you're on a diet plan or not, it's a good filler with very low calories.  Double bonus!

Quaker Original Rice Cakes Review

Tastes like biting into Styrofoam. No taste at all. I would at least try flavoured ones next time.
