Hubby was thrilled to get his rain gauge, before getting this he had a tin can on a piece of 2x4 stuck in the ground. After it rained, he'd bring the can in rummage around in my kitchen for a measuring cup that had centimeters....Well you get the picture. it was entertaining to me but very frustrating to him. So I ordered this. Happy Hubby and no more stupid tin can.

Purchased this rain gauge because it is larger and I liked the look. The plastic rain collector container is sufficient. Nice size with a wide mouth. The stake however holds is sort of flimsy. It isn't made of  metal. Some type of plastic coated with vinyl.  Will see how long it lasts.

Attractive but not sturdy!

The holder is very weak and bends over with rain water in it.

Even though it does the job, I feel the quality was very poor for the price. It is made completely of plastic, even the poles and I feel it won't last the season.

Light weight piece of plastic, I should have read the reviews.... will not hold up in weather...
