<p>The RC66RX has more codes available than it's predecessors (RC65RX, RC65R and RC64R). It can do everything the Infrared(IR) can do, and more. It's Radio Frequency (RF) capable, so you don't have to point your remote at your receiver to control it. You change channels from other rooms. Older model receivers may require an antenna to use this remote in RF mode (look for remote antenna input on the back panel of the receiver). This remote will also work in IR mode if your receiver is not RF capable (must change remote to IR mode).</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Purchased to replace my previous remote. This was easy to program and works great. Pleased with this purchase.

it was easy to set up with the DirecTV and my samsung. I really enjoy the extra features it has rather than the one you get from DirecTV, such as being able to stop the program and skip forward 30 seconds with one button.

Wore our old Direct tv remote out!  Thought we would have to spend big bucks to get another  one from the company.  To my surprise and joy Wal-Mart had the identical one for less than $10.00.  Quarantine is no time for my husband not to have his tv!  The new remote got here in 2 days and was very simple to set up.  And we didn't  have to get used to a different kind.  So happy!

Works perfectly! Arrived quicker than expected! Our kids lost our directv remote so we needed a replacement. We found it a week later and since it was so inexpensive we decided to go ahead and keep it for a spare.

Must Buy!

Very difficult to set up.  There were no instructions and YouTube was only somewhat helpful.  I will be returning this item.
