My old 32-inch TV is up for renewal. For less money, I've picked up a 40-inch 1080p TV at a budget price. And I need a VGA connector for my PC. Surprisingly there is few TV at this class has VGA connectors any more. This RCA TV has lots of connectors, much more flexible than those at a higher price range. The colour is a bit washed at the default setting. Use one of the pre-set picture settings to your liking. The text is crisp when connected to a PC at 1080p, can certainly be used as a monitor. The unit is made of mostly plastic, so very light but does not feel flimsy. The remote is very respectable at this price. The only downside from the design is that many connectors are facing downward at the back, making it difficult to connect/disconnect on the fly.

Great

A basic HD TV with no bells or whistles.  Worked fine right out of the box.  Set up was simple and straightforward.  A lot of people have complaints about the sound quality, but I am just using it in the bedroom for late night movie watching so the sound is fine.  I have had it for 3 months without a problem.  I have a 65" version in the living room which I've had for over 2 years - also without any problems.

Decent TV

The only item I do not like about the RCA is the set up when you are pairing with your TV provider. The codes do not always seem compatible and takes a while to get around the system. Otherwise the colour and sound are very good.

Purchase of RCA

I bought this tv overall it's really good bell fibe tv remote connect easily and fully works, with other tv's sometimes the bell remotes won't work fully (mute button) the sound from the tv sucks you will have to get speakers and some speakers make a buzzing noise while connected to this tv but other tv's the speakers don't buzz picture quality is really good and the start up time is pretty fast. I would recommend but only with a good pair of speakers

Powered up the television and saw a beautiful picture on the opening screen, but once the setup screen came on, it was game over. The setup screen blinks non-stop so you're unable to make any selections. Trying to select an AV input gets you the same result. I tried calling customer service at RCA to see if this was a known issue and after being on hold for over fourty minutes, I gave up. It's going back today. Lesson learned.

Great Picture on Opening Screen but Unable to Use

This is the third RCA in our house and the second to fail within 12 months. The first just went dead, this one no longer has sound (tried internal speakers, headphones and the optical port). Verified that the mute was not on. RCA used to be one of the top brands, now it is, unfortunately, less than entry level. Sorry RCA, I won't be buying any more of your products.

Sound has failed

In use for 6 weeks and it failed today. Screen lost all color except reds and blacks.As we were watching. Took it back to local walmart - No help. Store returns only for first 30 days - apparently have to ship it to RCA Canada. Their phone line won't pick up. I guess you get what you pay for. Will never touch RCA again nor purchase electronics from Walmart - lots of good retailers elsewhere.
