[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Listen, I've been using the Google Pixel 9 for a while now, and if you're looking for the "short version," here it is: Google finally stopped making "science projects" and started making a real phone.
For years, being a Pixel fan was like dating someone with a "great personality" who occasionally forgot to pay the electric bill. The cameras were amazing, but the battery was 50/50, and the signal would just drop if you looked at a basement the wrong way. With the Pixel 9, it feels like Google finally grew up.
The Build: It's a Tank (in a Good Way)
First off, the design. I know everyone says it looks like an iPhone now with the flat edges, and... yeah, it kind of does. But honestly? Good. It feels incredibly solid. There's a "density" to it that makes my old Pixel 7 feel like a toy.
The camera "bar" is now more of a "pill" that doesn't go all the way across. I was worried it would look weird, but in person, it's actually pretty sleek. Plus, it still doesn't rock when you type with it flat on a table, which is my biggest pet peeve with literally every other phone.

Google spent some time on this one!

influenster.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Google Pixel 9 is a great option versus other phones out in the marketplace. (Sorry iPhones). I am a long-time Pixel user and am very pleased with the upgrade to the 9, especially regarding the battery life. I use my phone all day and it lasts until night. I previously have had the Pixel 2, Pixel 4, and most recently the Pixel 7. My husband has had the Pixel 3, 5, 7 Pro, and currently has the Pixel 8. My children have iPhones for comparison. I do prefer the camera on the Pro versions versus the standard pixels, but given that I only use it for social life, I really don't need an upgrade to a more expensive phone that can zoom in or with super clarity that the pro has. The Pro version of Pixel cameras to me is on par with an iPhone for regular shots. The 9 is slightly less on clarity/crispness, but has really good editing options vs iPhone. The 9 is slightly smaller than my 7 was, but is fairly negligible, and closer to what the 5 is. The corners are more rounded which was a nice design versus the squared off style of the 7 as I think it makes it more durable when dropped. I really enjoy this brand of phone, the newest editing feature for pictures includes an option where you can edit yourself into a group shot, which is always the hardest part about being a mom taking photos and never being in the picture yourself. Setup of the phone was extremely easy coming from another Google Pixel. It let me choose if I wanted to use a physical SIM card or convert my SIM to a digital version. It comes with the charging cord but not the charging block, so one thing to be aware of is the need for a C compatible charging block. One thing that really sets apart the Google phone from some other options on the market is the ability to completely split your personal versus work profiles. That is one reason my husband sticks with the Pixel because it keeps everything completely separate for IT management permissions.

Google for the win

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excuse me?! The quality, the design, the performance, the batter life, the camera quality is too all too good! Great job on this one google! I'm an Apple girly but this is impressive. My husband is obsessed. 10/10

Amazing quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Introducing the very impressive new Google Pixel 9 with AI capabilities. As soon as I turned it on it was almost fully charged. It didn't take long to charge though. It was very quick. The camera takes stunning pictures. Talk about high quality. Even the wallpaper looks alive. This phone is 5G with 128 GB also the Obsidian version unlocked. The color is this gorgeous dark grey almost black with a very sleek thin shape. I'll have to get a case and screen protector for it. I'm highly impressed with how quick the phone operates. I'm still learning about the AI and features.

Google Pixel 9 with AI

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Google Pixel 9 (128GB, Obsidian) complimentary from Influenster and Google for testing, and I am very happy with it. The phone is sleek and lightweight, with a beautiful design and smooth performance. The camera quality is amazing, especially for taking pictures in low light. I also like the battery life, which lasts me all day with regular use.

The phone is very easy to use, and the setup process was quick. The storage of 128GB is good for saving photos, apps, and videos. However, I wish the phone came with a charger in the box.

Overall, I love the Pixel 9 and recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality smartphone. Thank you, Influenster and Google, for giving me the chance to try it!

Great Experience with Pixel 9!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is so nice. I never thought I would use a different brand, but I'm loving this. The performance is phenomenal, and it has all these amazing features. The camera pics are so perfect . It's easy to use and setup and has an amazing battery life. Definitely so user-friendly.

Googly googly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone has everything I need and that's saying a lot because this is an upgrade from my Apple 13 Pro! This phone came practically fully charged and started up super fast! I thought it was going to be frustrating transferring all my apps, info and storage over but Google made it EXTREMELY easy and pain-free.
Navigating was fairly simple and it's been fun learning all the new features. I figured out how to record while on an app and that's something I never was able to find out how to do on my iPhone. Haha.

The camera, even though this is just the 9 model was a serious game changer. All of my photos look so crisp. I've also enjoyed playing with the Re Imagine feature. I've created quite a few images for my upcoming new business adventure. I'll really be able to make the business cards of my dreams with this feature. I attached a demo pic to show how well it looks.
I haven't had any issues so far with storage but I did have to delete a ton of emails which I needed to do anyway to clear up more space. Not a big deal.
I do think I will be upgrading the memory for space. It's still new to me so once I've had this phone for a couple months I'll update this review.
The calls have been crystal clear, all of the pre loaded settings and apps have had zero issues. I love the keyboard and ringtones as well as the screen saver. I was able to group all my apps in one place to make things easier for me, I'm sure I'll discover so many more exciting features as I continue to play around. This phone durability seems to be on par with what I'm looking for yet the sleek design is eye catching.

The size of this phone is perfect for me and my lifestyle and have already found cute cases for this phone. I think the battery life is what I'm most obsessed with as I'm on my phone all the time hahaha! Google all the way!!!

Exactly what I've been looking for in a phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went from a Samsung Galaxy 21 to a Google Pixel 9 and the size is definitely something to get used to. It's much smaller but it fits so much better in my hand. The camera is absolutely amazing. So crisp. The phone is easy to navigate through and the storage size is quite big. Battery life is great. I'm still learning how to use all the fun features but Gemini has already helped me text friends and ask questions.

Super crisp photos

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Pixel 9 is a standout device, combining cutting-edge AI, exceptional camera quality, and impressive durability into a sleek, thoughtfully designed package. With its Gemini AI integration, the Pixel 9 offers a truly smart experience, enabling everything from effortless photo edits to advanced spam protection and voice assistance. The Pixel 9 excels in photography, with a 50 MP wide lens, 48 MP ultrawide lens with Macro Focus, and a 10.5 MP front camera. The array of features like Night Sight, Astrophotography, Magic Editor, and Super Res Zoom delivers professional-grade photos effortlessly. The AI-powered modes like Face Unblur and Portrait Light ensure every shot is crisp and perfectly lit, making this phone a must-have for photographers and casual users alike. Powered by the Google Tensor G4 processor and 12 GB of RAM, the Pixel 9 is smooth, fast, and efficient. It launches with Android 14, offering a clean, intuitive interface. Features like Magic Eraser and Best Take showcase the seamless integration of AI, enhancing day-to-day usage. The 5G connectivity and Wi-Fi 7 further ensure fast, reliable performance, whether you're gaming, streaming, or multitasking. With a 4700 mAh battery, the Pixel 9 easily lasts a full day of heavy usage. Its fast charging and wireless charging capabilities are convenient, and the PowerShare feature allows you to share juice with other devices. Standby time of up to 199 hours means you can rely on this phone when you need it most. The Pixel 9 is beautifully crafted. The 6.3-inch Actua OLED display offers vibrant colors and smooth scrolling with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the fingerprint-resistant recycled aluminum housing feels premium in hand. Its compact size and lightweight design (7 oz) make it comfortable for everyday use. Plus, the Corning (go New York!) Gorilla Glass Victus 2 adds extra protection against scratches and drops. With a sturdy case, the phone can handle occasional falls without issue.

The one notable downside is the button placement. With both volume and power buttons on the same side, taking screenshots the traditional way can be a bit tricky. While this may take some getting used to, it's a minor issue compared to the phone's overall excellence. Still a nuisance, nonetheless. At the end of the day, the Google Pixel 9 delivers a powerful, user-friendly experience, making it one of the best smartphones on the market. Whether you're drawn to its AI capabilities, stellar camera quality, or durable design, it's a phone engineered to impress and an incredible upgrade from my old device.

Google knocked this one out of the park!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an iPhone user I was honestly expecting to not like this phone but it has a lot of cool features like the creation of emojis and the display being so much more customizable. The camera is also AMAZING. holy cow. I was genuinely shocked by the camera. I give 4 stars instead of 5 only because I don't love the size and feel, but those are minor things in comparison. Overall, I would recommend. Especially if you're looking for a great camera and good battery life.
