Saw many comments on this tool about the battery getting in the way when trying to cut…. The head swivels - no such issues.  Read about the 7/16 issue…. False!  Mine came with 3/8 blades & arbor, as well as a 7/16 arbor.  Had I gone by other reviewers - I would have not bought this tool.

Rigid, you nailed it with this tool!!! I've been laying tile for 32 yrs. and this little tool packs a punch! I wish this tool was around when I first started laying tile! It's great around air vents and small cut outs. I can finally give my wet saw(8" Rigid ), notching tool and grinder....A MUCH NEEDED REST! Thank you soooo much for an outstanding tool! It is my hope that you will sell a 3 or 5 Pack of tile cuting blades for ceramic,  porcelain and glass! Cudos to Rigid! Enough said!

Great tool to use on air vents in the floor!

I bought this unit and after I did, I started reading the reviews. Me being the type of person I am, I started messing with the head of the unit and found if you apply some turning pressure to it, it will change the angle in witch it cuts. So for everyone giving a 1 star due to the battery being in the way, this unit has the capabilities of clicking into 4 different angles. I hope this review helps anyone with this "issue".

This unit is awesome!!

Having read several reviews prior to purchasing I began looking for a wood cutting blade and discovered what other reviewers have stated, they are hard to find. That said, the 3” Dremel carbide wood cutting blade works very well with the 7/16” arbor adapter which is included with the saw. 
Also several people said the angle of the guard is such that when making a long cut, the battery hits the arterial being cut and forces the blade to lift affecting the already limited cutting depth. That proved to be true for my saw too, but I noticed 4 small Torx screws securing a plate surrounding the arbor. I loosened the screws and it allowed me to index the blade guard to prevent the battery from contacting the material being cut. Oddly, two of the four screws accepted a T-10 Torx bit but the other two required a T-9 Torx bit.
I like the saw a lot but would prefer a tool-free ‘table' height adjustment with a larger base platform, but otherwise it has pretty impressive performance for such a small tool.

Great performance in a compact package

I just realized, after a tasty morning sesh, that the only thing impeding all the 3/8" arbor cut off wheels is that little lip on the one of the two clasps.
Just file that lip off, and BOOM, PRESTO, ALAKAZAM! 
One of my favorite tools.
Too bad ridgid isn't the top of the line brand, or they would have either sold their own blades or made adapters or at least shown some effort in this matter.

Easy fix for cut off wheels!

Reviewing the saw before deciding to purchasing I found no legible PT# for the 3" discs. 
That seems to be a draw back. Hope the picture help to find a vendor that can support the consumables..

The tool has potential

I bought this tool specifically to cut small wood projects, however, findings a wood cutting wheel has been impossible. I would have given this nifty tool an all star rating except for that wheel.

Lightweight and easy to use

I bought the saw thinking I could cut ANYTHING, but later found there are no wood blades. Rigid needs to get on this ASAP as I see many complaints about them not having wood cutting blades. i trim thin pieces of plywood regularly and this tool is useless now.

No wood Blades?

I love that I can actually see the cut line when sawing. So light and compact, its a real treat to use.
I couldn't believe Ridgid (I own many  of  them) would offer a multi material saw that lacks one important material. - WOOD. Wood is a pretty popular material for homeowners.
If they release a wood cutting blade I will gladly change my rating to "5".

Excellent design

Junk...... I received one as a gift. and was helping family with a wood floor project. pure junk this quit working after the first use. I will not buy another.
