This thing is great. I have a framing company with 4 skilled guys and this compressor keeps up no problem. This is my second one first one crapped out in just under 2 years so I bought a makita Mac 2400. The Mac 2400 wasn't even close to the rigid so I took it back and bought another rigid. We work that little thing really hard 100 foot cord and 5000 watt generator never trips breakers and always keeps up even with LVL. So if your a framer that's wants an electric compressor that doesn't slow down I highly recommend the Rigid

it might at first seem too loud at first but remember 77dbs isnt exactly a whisper. out side of my garage the nosie is much quiter. its fair to say half as loud as one of those pancake compressors. i like the unit it fills fast  and can keep air flowing good. me likes alots

very satisfied

Solid Air Compressor and for it's size is quiet. Need serial number from it for the warranty but can't find it anywhere

Serial number

This one is much more quite then the 5.0 gallon unit that was sold before. I do hope the check valve will not fail this time around.  I only had the other unit for 5 years and hardly ever used it and then it broke....symptoms was the unit would trip the circuit overload on the unit. Now it is workless cause you cannot purchase parts.

So Far So good

Unit advertises as 200 PSI and 77db. Although the tanks may go to 200 PSI the usable output is capped at 150 PSI. It is also advertised at 77db but with a quick phone app check it is 85 or even 90db. As others have mentioned it is not quite. I'd put money down the CFM is also overrated, but I don't have an easy to to check.

So far it does work, but debating returning it.

Deceptive Marketing

Nice unit for the most part. Design is a bit awkward to access and the manifold knob is plastic and easily strips. I recommend it but a bit reluctantly.

Mixed bag

Says it runs 75% more quite at 72db. It's closer to 92db

Does not run at rated db

I've gone through 3 of these in less than 3 yrs. my first twin tank lasted me over 10 years. These newer one don't have what it takes. Waste of hard earned money.

Really bad

I bought this last summer 
It had pressure relief valve issues from day one.
Then after I repaired and replaced the pressure relief valve actually just replaced it with another 200 psi relief valve after using the compressor for maybe five times it started throwing sparks out of the motor

Purchased new. Used to occasionally pump a few cars at my office. Personal use.
Started smoking after being used for less than an hour total. Should have read the reviews.
A lot of money for Rigid garbage. Looks like it might be another HD return!!!
