Just to let anyone interested know for whatever your reasons are, this type of battery WILL work with a DSLR or Mirrorless camera whose power requirements exceed 5V and where a common 5v battery bank will not work as a result. If anyone is using a Nikon D500 and looking for battery to help you film, there are no compatibility issues with this.

Purchase the correct dummy battery/coupler for your camera and connect it to an AC adapter that allows you to adjust the voltage to the voltage requirements of your camera. Then plug that AC adapter into the AC outlet of the RS81 and enjoy filming for several hours uninterrupted. The extra USB ports allow you to power audio recorder or USB powered audio interfaces and the extra AC outlet allows you to power an AC powered audio interface as you film as well.

It won't fit in a pocket but it will fit in a small backpack or bag. Small and lightweight enough to be relatively portable. Charging this thing will take about 5 hours.

I'm quite happy with this product as it gets the job done exceptionally.

I've had the RS81 for a few years now. I bought it to power my astrophotography setup. It was great for that until I upgraded to a bigger rig and then the problem was it just didn't have the ports I needed. Recently its been used to power my kid's laptop in the car. I also still use it for my astrophotography but to charge my phone and tablet while I'm out there. But I used to use it to power my DSLR, dew heater and tracking mount. I've upgraded to a GoTo mount with autoguiding which has forced an upgrade in power but this thing is still great. Charges my phone from 5% to full in a little over an hour. The only downside to this thing is it takes like 6 hours to charge on AC power.

It's pretty great for what it is.

The week connection into the device. The piece that plugs into the port of the device is easily breaking.

Great little unit for road trips or camping. It kept phones charged, lights and portable speakers. I have a different brand of panel that has little fold out legs to get than 45 degree angle. This one doesn't have those and I wish it did. I had to find the right sized rocks or whatever to hold it up. They do include carabiners to hang it, but if there's no where to hang it, little legs would have been handy.

Handy little unit

The battery when fully charged managed to get a single phone that was turned off charged 3% overnight. I had hoped to check it over and see if there was something that we missed, but it got wet in a short downpour the following day and stopped working. I won't be returning the item because the damage was my fault, but I didn't expect something marketed for camping use to bite the big one from a little rain.
