Bought this as a Christmas (2013) gift for my mother she is very pleased with the function of it. She's been busy shredding and already has 1 bag. As with any shredder - to many papers it jams, paper jam was cleared easily by reversing and pulling out a couple sheets.

Surprisingly quiet for a shredder. The paper makes more noise being shredded than the motor makes. I've already shredded a number of baskets full of of paper & it works smoothly & efficiently.

I checked at least a dozen different sites, including office supply, discount, & many others for a decent quality shredder & this was THE best price of any reputable brand.

A Quiet Workhorse

Use it at home for junk mail.....like the pull out drawer feature which does not have to be emptied constantly...very large!

Excellent personal shredder.

Ordering from Walmart site to store is wonderful. Love it. As for the shredder so far I really like it. It's quiet and runs smoothly. It doesn't sound like it is struggling even when running 10 sheets through. It has had little use so far so I'm not sure how it handles continuous use after 2 minutes. I will update after it is used more, but at this point it's great.

Great So Far

We needed a new shredder and after reading the reviews on this one we bought it. It is a lot better then the one we had and fits our needs. The price was right and we have no complaints as of yet, only had it for a short time.

good for the price

So far So good.  I shredded all my old bills, receipts, bank statements etc.  The Shredder
worked fine.  The only thing was I didn't empty the  bin  soon enough and it started to pull the shredded paper back up.  It was kind of messy to clean up but if you empty the
bin before it gets too full it works fine.  I would definitely recommend this Shredder to
a friend.

Royal 100X Cross Cut Paper Shredder

I bought this shredder for my home office. It's a good size for home use and pleasantly quiet. I like how its easy to dump with the pull out bin to the front.

Meets my expectations

I bought this for my mom because it had the pull out trash container. The opening is just big enough for an 8 1/2" sheet of paper so you have to line it up perfectly. She only does 1 sheet at a time but I did 4 sheets and it slowly did it. I would not do 10 sheets.
PROS: Price, compared to other shredders, and the pull out container.
CONS: Opening isn't wide enough (This is a big con for an elderly person) and, in my opinion, it would not do 10 sheets for fast shredding if that's what are looking for.

Good for light use.

I don't believe unit would hold up long in an office environment with daily use. Works great for limited home use.

Reasonably Good fro intended purpose.

Would not recommend it if you have a lot of papers to shred. It heats up right away and does not take 10 sheets like it specifies. You have to shred 2 papers at a time and let it cool off, it will stop working if it heats up.

Not a 10 sheet shredder.
