I make my own Brandy. I learned from the show Moonshiners. That using a carbon filter. Not only ensures there's no particulits. In your homemade Brandy. It also helps mellow your alcohol out. There's a big difference between my Alcohol and anyone else's stuff I've ever tried. I highly recommend this. If you're going to try making your own drinks.

only filter I use. friends ask what I do to my coffee and tea to make it taste so good. I just smile and say "filtered water". Been using pur since my children were born. Now that they're grown they're using them too!

I LOVE this water filter system because where I live we have HARD water that makes the water taste gross 🤢. but with the PUR water filter system my tap water like water use to taste growing up. just a nice clean water.

I have a Beautiful water pitcher that uses this filter. I have been using this for a while and can taste the difference from plain tap water. It ‘s very simple to replace and now I am most familiar with replacing it. I would definitely buy another one upon replacing this pitcher.

Always like it when my water tastes fresh and these filters do that job wonderfully.  I never buy bottled water because I don't like how the bottles make the water taste.  In my opinion water shouldn't actually have a "taste".  PUR does that and I know I save money by using my pitcher.  In these economic times, saving some $$ is also a good thing.

PUR Water Pitcher Replacement Filter

I use this filter because the tap water from older plumbing has a noticeable off smell when it's unfiltered. It's not subtle, and it makes drinking it unpleasant enough that filtering is just necessary.

On smell, this is the main improvement. It removes that musty, metallic, slightly stale odor that can come from older pipes and leaves the water neutral. Not “enhanced,” just clean-tasting enough that you don't notice it anymore.

In terms of reliability, it performs consistently. There aren't random swings where the water suddenly tastes off again. It steadily works until it reaches the end of its life, then the performance drops gradually rather than failing all at once.

Removal is simple. It pops in and out of the pitcher without effort or fiddling, which makes routine replacement easy to stay on top of.

For tap water, the difference is immediate. It doesn't turn it into something fancy, but it removes the unpleasant odor and makes it normal enough to drink without thinking about it.

Overall: dependable, easy to use, and effective at fixing bad-smelling tap water from older plumbing.

Smell-Free Tap Water Without the Funk

Pur water filter is the only one in which Ive read  that lists that it removes lead from your water. I don't know why that is ???  I do wish they all removed lead. I don't particularly care for the Pur pitchers . the tops constantly break on mine. I simply deal with it for the advantage of the lead removal. 
I recently got one for my parents fully expecting them NOT to use  it...ut they love it! They both can't believe how much better their water tastes .  II had mentioned it before, but they said their water already tastes just fine ...ha... 
if you care about the long term healrh of someone, buy them one.

We just moved into an older home that has a ton of iron in the well water.  I got tired of having to remember to bring the 5 gallon jugs to the store to refill so I picked up one of the PUR water pitchers.  Oh my goodness, lifesaver!  The filtered water is delicious!  I do have to replace the filters every two weeks so I spemd just under $20 a month.  Sure beats the water utility bill at our old house that coast about $60 a month.  Total game changer!

Game Changer!

I bought the filter in store. I was surprised that it was only $8 . I also bought a 30-cup pitcher, %26 it rang up lower than the sticker price.  I already had a small PUR pitcher for coffee water. I got the large, 30 cup dispenser because the unit we had 2 separate filters. This unit is a Berkey, tall stainless steel unit. First, both were out of stock. These units filter were expensive . . like $80 for the one that had been out of stock. I like the Berkey units, %26 the filters are an investment because they last for years. We moved to our current house in the summer of 2019, %26 just this year needed replacement. But back to the PUR, I had a faucet unit for years, but the Berkey was my daughter's unit, %26 we moved in together %26 used her big Berkey. . . so I just used a pitcher unit for coffee . . it's a 10 cup unit.
