[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a car that is eighteen years old, and it started to develop a little rust behind the wheel wells, so I had to sand it down and repair it with body filler.  When that happens, the metal gets pitted.  The rust works its way into little pinholes.  I thought I would need to remove all the rust so that the problem wouldn't come back in a few years, but a friend told me I could paint over the pinholes with this product instead, because it neutralizes the rust.  That allowed me to preserve a lot more of the metal, so the repair was much easier and the result was better.  I did some reading on the Internet and learned that I could use Bondo right over the top of the paint.  So far it has worked well.  Now I am using the rest of the Rust Bullet to touch up other rusty metal around my property.  I have used outdoor house paint over the top of it, and that worked well too.  The product is expensive, but I'm finding that a little goes a long way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Paint is thin enough to spray using hvlp sprayer. What i like most about this paint is the very little prep needed for adhesion. I did apply 2 coats, per instructions,  and although it took half day for it to dry, it is holding up to multiple constant rain. My next project for this is painting the galvanized chimney cap.

We used a brush to apply, went on really well., covered well. We used it under our fifth wheel, one quart did two coats where we needed it. DO wear long sleeves, pants and gloves- nothing takes it off!  Where we did get it on our skin, hands it wore off in a few days.

What is important about Rust Bullet paint is that it is easy to apply and is the most aggressive adhering paint for the purpose. It is not a paint of finish beauty, but a tough coating that eats dried rust!

Product came on time and install went as expected.
It worked well with the the bondo fiberglass mesh for fixing holes.
It is slightly thicker viscosity than "miracle paint", which made it easier to install the mesh right away after applying a first coat of the paint. . . no need to wait for it to start to cure and get "sticky" before applying the mesh.
Now we wait to see how long it stops the rust. :)
