The DVD works fine, but the Blu-ray menu doesn't work at all.  The menu pops up for all of a half second and then vanishes.  Causes the background of the top menu to cycle but there is no way to start the movie.  The DVD plays fine but I would have loved to watched it in 1080 rather than 480 quality.  Especially when I have the disk.
