This soaker hose is indeed more porous than the standard ones used with normal pressure water supply and works well with my elevated rain barrel. It seems to be well made and durable.

Good soaker for gravity feed watering

Bought these to help drain water from my 6 rainbarrels. They work very well. Would suggest getting a filter for each hose as apparently sediment from the barrels could clog up the hose. Also, I attached regular extension hoses to the rain barrel to extend the hose to a different flower bed. Had for about a month and so far they are great!!!

I ordered a rain barrel soaker hose kit with a little reluctance. It was easy to assemble and is working like a charm. It was hard for me to believe that the hose would work with no pressure, just gravity feed. I wish I could have purchased this setup years ago!

It is not possible for this hose to springs leaks as another reviewer mentioned. It's intended usage is on a rain barrel for gravity feed purposes. It will spray if you attach it to a faucet, duh! It's Rain Barrel Hose!

Very prompt service.  The hose works very well with the rain barrel system.  Well pleased with it.

I have rain barrels and want to share the water during no-rain times.. these work on rain barrel pressure.. Must use a filter before, otherwise clogs...

The photo of this hose is not very good and I cannot tell if this is the hose I purchased. The one I purchased is black and made of some sort of rough composition material. It did not last one day before it sprung multiple leaks and finally burst apart in a large opening. Do not purchase one of these rough textured soaker hoses. I'm taking the thing back.

The hose worked upon initial hookup after that, nothing.  The barrel has been replenished via rain however, is not dripping water.
