we love the ability to adjust the levels of the vibration and shock. we also love the process of the beep then if they stop barking it doesnt go on to the vibration or shock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were pleased with the product.  Easy to setup And it has worked.  Out little dog barked when the phone rang, whenever I would start to talk to my husband and of course, when someone came to the door. And he wouldn't shut up but with this collar he will bark once it makes the noise and apparently shocks him and he goes over and he lays down and he's quiet. He has stopped the barking when the phone rings and if I start a conversation! Best product I've ever bought. we have it on the lowest setting for the shock.

Collar seems to be well made and mode setup was easy.  My dog got the message to  stop barking immediately (set on tone and vibrate) after putting it on him.

I recently inherited a mini Australian shepherd who has been barking non stop.   After reaching and researching various kinds of correction collars, I purchased this Lakwar brand.   

Overall this collar is very effective to curb unwanted barking.  It uses a three step system of vibrate, beep and shock for correction.   The collar is easy to charge, but is extremely difficult to set up and program.   Each of the three steps has a range of severity or intensity.   Setting these using the wonky directions is a feat in itself.  If we are going to import Chinese made goods, the manufacturer of these goods should employee English speaking persons to write instruction manual.  This instruction manual and its photo illustrations are horrible.

The downside is my dog somehow unbuckled the collar while in the yard playing. It seems the buckle on collar is defective or possibly has a design flaw that he could unfasten it himself. The adjustable straps on the collar are way too long for smaller dogs and are difficult to shorten.   I have resisted cutting the excess off because I'm afraid the ends will fray.  

 Fortunately,  I found the collar and readjusted the size.  I  decided to leave it off for the  evening and night since he had stopped barking.  By the next morning, I had to put collar back on again as he was barking nonstop again. Since this is my first round with a correction collar, I don't know if he will ever stop barking without the collar.

Effective but has issues

It's supposed to fit small thru large my dog is about 28 pounds and we can't keep it on her

Worked great ….. for about a week. Overtime it just became less effective in dog quit responding to it.

AWFUL.  Very cruel. Not a humane training tool. Collar changes settings on it's own! The touch screen gets re-set by the dog's hair %26 chin touching it. It also continues to shock dog at higher levels %26 there is no way to control the level. I even tried to make a neoprene sleeve out of an old can koozie to cover it. This helped but was un-realistic for daily use %26 ridiculous that I paid for something that needed so much modification just to use without being cruel. RETURNED %26 hope I prevent someone else from hurting their dog with this.

This dog collar is completely unreliable and unsafe. I tried adjusting the sensitivity multiple times, but no matter the setting, it goes off randomly. A collar should not be shocking a dog when they aren't even making noise. The vibration alone doesn't stop barking, and the device randomly delivers shocks to my dog, yet doesn't activate when I hold it in my hand. This is poorly made, unpredictable, and potentially harmful—do not buy it. I want my money back and you shouldn't buy this for your dog period! worst product i ever purchased.
