She had a little trouble opening the lock at times and since it's plastic, it doesn't seem like it'll last well over time. I feel like after enough times opening it, the lock may not work anymore. The surprises inside were cute and she especially liked the tiny pencil pouch! It was beyond adorable and really works! I think this would be a cute item for kids who love surprise type toys and fun stationary items!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Real littles journal is just that, this is very small and really not  that functional for kids. The look is very cute and the design is very good. The pages are only about 1 inch by 1 and a half so relatively small.  The price  point is about normal for something like this though.

The little key holder on the outside of the journal is impossible to open.  Very cheaply made..don't expect to last the week
