Rebel Lures Crickhopper Fishing Lure (1 1/2-Inch, Black Cricket)

Brand

Model

The Rebel Crickhopper is a pond and stream angler's dream. This productive fishing lure resembles crickets and grasshoppers during different stages of the year and can be used as a top water lure or as a crankbait. Perfect for panfish, trout, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass fishing.

Lure Action

We took my daughter wading last weekend, and this was all we needed. Tied on a fire tiger crickhopper and we could not stop catching fish. Absolutely crushed them, she probably caught 50 something fish in a matter of hours! You cannot go wrong, fish catching made easy.

Fire Tiger

lurenet.com

Believe it or not, I found my first rebel creek hopper lure hanging From a tree. I cut it down, tied it on, and caught fish all afternoon. It was so successful, I purchased one in every color. It never disappoints. Oddly, I can catch more fish with this lure than live bait on some days. I never leave home without an assortment of these lures.

Best lure ever found !

Tested this lure out on two ponds. I had great success. Caught over 10 dinner plate size bluegill and some bass. There was literally a fish on the line after every cast. The movement on this lure is gorgeous. I like to crank it but walking it on the surface works too.

A fantastic lure

My son is 4 and made major progress this year in his ability to cast. I hooked him up with a Crickhopper and the action he gets is unbelievable. His love of fishing has skyrocketed to to point where it's his #1 answer to, "What should we do today?" Crickhopper has given me a fishing buddy for life! Plus, it always feeds the family on camping trips regardless of conditions.

My Kids Love It

I used a Yellow Crickhopper a few days ago on the Flathead River in Western Montana. Using an Ultralight rod and 2lbs Berkely Vanish Fluorocarbon, I was able to cast this light little lure at least 20 yards or so. The fish were loving it and I caught countless Smallmouth Bass, a Yellow Perch, a Northern Pikeminnow, and a Largemouth Bass. As a multi-species fisherman, I cannot say enough good about the Crickhopper. Tie one on yourself and get ready to have a blast.

Perfection

Alright so for a couple years from when i was 16 until i was 18 i only had one lure..... The crickethopper. These crickethoppers are the best lures to use where i fish and i dont use any other lure. My original crickethopper had a tragic accident involving hitting a rock at full cast and the thing snapped cleanly in half..... Poor thing. The entire front and one hook were still attached including the beed on the inside and it swam the same just half a lure. So i casted that and guess what it worked so these lures are so good that even if yours breaks in half you can still fish. Ive caught tons of pumpkin seeds, bass, crappies, even a couple trout but these lures are the way to go. Your tackle box isnt complete unless you have one of these babbies.

10-Oct

The Rebel Crickhopper is top choice to use for Bluegill Fishing. Whenever the lure hits the water, smaller panfish and sometimes large mouth bass will attack. If one color does not seem to be getting many hits, simply change over to a different one, move around, and enjoy another day of fishing! Lures work great even with just a simple Zebco 33 and some 4-6# line.

Bluegill Favorite

I regularly fish open water and smaller creeks. The Rebel Crickhopper Lure is my legendary favorite. I primarily fish for Bluegill and other panfish. Whenever the time of day is right and the fish are around, the hits are almost 100%. I use the crickhopper with 6# fluorocarbon line and a small Zebco (33, 22, etc.). No need on spending more with this lure.

Best Lure for Panfish

I bought my first Crickhopper in the early 1990's. It was green. I caught a trout with it on my very first cast. Everything that swims go after them. Though I took up fly fishing since then I still reach for the Crickhopper when the sauger and walleyes migrate near shore. I have yet to find a fly that can out produce them for that time. Kudos to Rebel for creating a great line of lures.

Must have lure

As everyone says you name it, they bite on it. I have done slow surface retrieval, underwater, and jigging on surface. My original all yellow one is finally falling apart(hooks deformed) but it still hauls them in.You fishing in weedy waters or lily pads this is your lure. The other one is the Bumble Bug. Both work great!
