The extra base that goes under the barn is not needed.  We simply put screw holes through the base of the barn and screwed the barn directly onto the wooden base we ordered.  We love the lovely barn design.

We love our new mailbox! It looks awesome and adds to our home.  It is sturdy and well built and worth the money!  It also was delivered sooner that I was told, so that was an extra bonus!

My mailbox arrived really quickly.  I bought this because my last mailboxs door broke so it wouldnt stay closed.  this one looks very sturdy...cant wait to have it put up.

The barn mailbox is super cute and made well.  The door is a little hard to open but i think that is the newness of it. Love it.

Nice Change!

We were excited to get our new mailbox sooner than expected.  But I saw some problems with it right out of the box.  First of all the door was off of it's hinge and I had to play around with it for 15 minutes to get it back in working order.  Then when I went to mount the mailbox I saw that the roof gaped at the sides leaving open areas where rain can get in.  Also the door does not stay closed.  I had to add a few rubber bands to get the door to close more firmly.  Overall I would say this is a very beautiful piece of junk.

Beautiful Looking BUT Very Low Quality Product.

This was ordered to replace an over 10 year old red barn that the garbage man destroyed.  The reason for the low rating is the handle/latch on the door.  No only is the latch difficult to pull open but the edges are sharp. I felt the need to sand the edges before placing it out for my mail person to have to pull on it. The box is also difficult to close and the mail person has failed to snap it shut. The difference in the old verses new handles can be seen in the photos.

It looks cute in the pic. I bought this for my little cabin in the woods and thought it would just be a cute accent, but I was wrong.  I tried to track my order from the “tracking“ number they gave me, but everytime I tried, it always told me that the tracking number didn't exist. The amount kept appearing and disappearing from my checking account. It shipped pretty fast but my issue was I wasn't able to track my order and since it didn't “exist“ I almost ordered from another place, which I now wish I did. The mailbox is cheaply made and the door has to be forced open. The handle rubs against the roof when it's lifted and also has to be forced. It's bigger than I expected which I do not like. I don't recommend this at all.
