Red Heart-Soft Yarn. Soft yarn features an ultra soft hand and subtle luster and is an excellent all-purpose yarn. It has an elegant drape that is ideal for fashion looks. Weight category: 4, 100% acrylic, Solids: 5oz/140g, 256yd/234m. Prints and Heathers: 4oz/113g, 212yd/194m. Gauge: knit: 17 st x 23 r = 4in(10cm) on size 8/5mm needles, crochet: 12 sc x 15 r = 4in(10cm) on size I9/5.5mm hook. No dye lot solids, multi's and Heathers are dyelotted: We try but are not always able to match dyelots. Care: machine wash (max.temp. 104F/40C), tumble dry, do not bleach, do not iron, dry cleanable. Imported.

This yarn is a delight to work with!  It doesn't split at all, each skein had very few joins, the stitch definition is gorgeous, and it glides over my Clover and Furls hooks.  I have made an extra long cardigan with this and was very pleased.  I will buy this again.

Loved knitting with this soft acrylic yarn. Felt very soft and didn't split very often. I'm a very beginner knitter and will definitely buy more of this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this yarn in the color 'plumy' to make a hat for my mom because she liked the color, and i love how the colors worked together in the project. This yarn is pretty soft as the name suggests, once stitched it seems a bit stretchier than I'm used to as it was my first time using it, but that could probably be because of my tension. Overall though the yarn was great to work with and I would love to check out the other colors at some point!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This yarn is as soft as baby yarn but available in more adult colors. It is marked as medium 4 weight but you need to used a smaller hook, I used a 5 when I normally use a 5.5 hook for medium 4 weight. Therefore, your items run a bit smaller so consider this when doing your projects.

Red Heart Soft

While this isn't my yarn choice for the beanies I crochet, it is perfect for my mini beanies make on a 22 pin knitting machine.

Red Heart Soft, Guacamole & Red, White

It is very soft, easy to work with and my project has a nice drape/flow to it. It isn't stiff like some yarns. Great value!

Christmas Cookie Afghan

All the qulaity and sturdiness of Red Heart with the added luxury of a soft yarn to wrap yourself up in a blanket or your neck or head on a scarf or hat.

Red Heart's best yarn

As the name suggested that this was a ‘soft' yarn, I purchased it to knit a baby sweater. I have completed the sweater and did not find it to be particularly soft at all. I am really hoping that once I wash it, I will notice a big difference, otherwise I will not be able to use this for a baby gift and will need to knit something else with different yarn.

Not really ‘soft'

This was my first time working with this yarn, as an expecting mother requested these colors for a baby blanket. Overall, this yarn is ok. While it is nice and soft and has a good variety of nice colors, it splits pretty easily, and there have been many spots in the yarn where it seemed like a ply was fraying. I'm not sure about the long-term durability of anything made with this yarn. I don't plan to purchase this yarn again.

Mediocre yarn that is soft with nice colors

The colors are beautiful but to be honest I don't plan on purchasing this particular brand of yarn again. Between the splitting and ball being all tangled up in the center it made it quite difficult. I absolutely loved the pattern and Mikey is the best.
