Strong hold, easy to wash out.  Really enjoy this product, but it seems almost like the product may have been discontinued?  I am having trouble finding it these days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened the can, I immediately noticed the smell. It's a pleasant but robust smell. In fact, the first day I used it in my hair, I was driving back from lunch and kept noticing a great smell. I was confused because I didn't have a new air freshener or anything like that. After a minute or so, it dawned on me that it was my hair. I loved it and couldn't believe that after a few hours I could still smell it. Don't get me wrong, it's not strong enough to use as cologne but it is strong enough for me to notice it in my hair. As for hold, it works great. It doesn't take long to set but it is pliable and moldable for a few minutes so you can get your hair to look exactly like you want. Once it sets though, it's set. This is a good thing unless you like to reshape your hair later or if you accidentally rub your hair on something and mess it up. At that point it gets a little soft and isn't pliable. I have other pomades that I can shape throughout the day if needed but the hold isn't great. So if you need to reshape, this Redken Brews Pomade isn't for you. If you want to set it and forget it, this is the stuff and it smells great to boot.

Never used a product like this or heard about this product line before sampling it. Would buy it and also highly recommend it for those would are interested in this type of hair product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just used a small amount of this, rubbed it in my hands and then applied to my hair. Loved the way it retained the style all day. Also loved the way that when I came to wash my hair it wasn't all crusty like some other products and was easy to wash out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Redken Brews High Hold Pomade works so much better than the AXE brand pomade I was using previously and it doesn't leave my hair as stiff as the AXE brand. On top of that, my hair feels normal after using it, not sticky or tacky like other brands leave it feeling. And on top of all of that, it smells fantastic!
I'm definitely going to switch to using Redken from here on and would very much recommend it to others as well!

Great hold without too much stiffness or stickines

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair was completely dry when I used NYC Grooming's Redken Brews High Hold Pomade, so it did probably take a little extra time to work. Overall I think it's a really great product. You do not need a lot of product to hold a large volume of hair. And my hair it quite longer at the moment due to the quarantine situation. The only somewhat negative thing I will say is the scent reminds me of something or someone. But its perhaps a better version of that scent so it might turn the tides on the negativity.

Great hold. Would probably purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use a different version of this Redken Brews Pomade on a daily basis, thinking the High Hold variety would have similar results. I was wrong.
Now, understand this before I continue- this product is not bad or didn't work for me. It's nice and worked (for the most part), just in ways I wasn't expecting.
I typically use a High Hold with a Matte finish. The pomade itself is more of a creme vs a gel, this product was more of a gel. Again, not a bad thing, just a difference. Where as the matte finish would be smoother on my hands and dry on my hair (helping the hold and styling), the effects of this particular product almost had a opposite effect- It was almost sticky/dry on my hands and it felt like my hair 'drank' up the pomade! (as weird as that sounds) My hair didn't look shiny, like it had been transported into the days of the early millennium but with the matte finish, I can go a couple of days before the 'sheen' of the product wearing off (if necessary). This will look like the 2nd day (on the 2nd day). Side note: I have a bit an oily scalp so that comes into play with products.
I did accidentally put this through a stress test and then a more easy test- My hair, in addition to having a bit of an oily scalp, is fairly thick. And I was in need of a cut or trim right around the time I started to use this  pomade. So while it wasn't great for standing up thick hair (that was in need of a cut), and I don't blame it for that, it does better on shorter hair in the same aspect. 
So all in all, it's a pretty good product that can do what you need it to, but be forewarned- if you have thick hair or oils (and don't like your hair to look that way), you may want to opt for a different finish. I'd recommend same make in the matte finish, I love it!

The packaging isn't what I expected for a Redken product, it may be because it is a sample. Overall, not bad.
