I bought a fishing program for Christmas for 2 of my boys. Now the third wants one also. This product was the only fishing program I could find. It is not the same but it comes in at a close to the wall 2nd. It is entertaining and makes you work for your catch.

Soon as we played this game my husband & I were hooked:) The graphics are awesome & all the different challenges are great. We preferred using the wii controllers over the fishing rod, made it easier to use.

Great game!!

Takes a little getting use to, but the game is actually more like real fishing in that you have to know what to do when the fish initially gets hooked, when it makes a run etc. It's a little difficult to actually see the fish hit, but it's a pretty good game that I'd recommend to others, especially those who actually do fish.

Pretty good game

I had a little trouble getting use to the back and forth of going to the lodge and actually fishing at first, but after I started playing the game for a while I actually enjoyed it. The fishing locations are nice enough graphically. The choice of tackle, also OK. It gets interesting later on in the game when you encounter the Tuna in ocean fishing. The fish jump out of the water as in real life and put up a nice fight.

Reel Fishing

Better if you turn off music/sound. Hard to cast and takes for ever to reel in a fish. Not easy to go to practice area. Spend most of your time reeling and then fish breaks line. No way to move around in program. The graphic movement in the water when fighting fish could make you sea-sick

Not wet but!!

Although the graphics are nice and it's very educational for the novice fisherman, the casting and reeling are difficult to master. Releasing the A and B buttons at precisely the right time while throwing the arm forward is more difficult then it should be. The fishing line is breaking too often and mastering that aspect is cumbersome too. These hassles have put a damper on the whole game play for my grandson and I.

Nice, except...

This game is for adult who love fishing! I got this game for my 8 years old son, he open the game play for 30 minutes than haven't touch it again.

Reel Fishing Angler's Dream (Wii)

We got this game for our son for Christmas. It was $10 for black Friday and I feel like we still overpaid. The game controls ex: Casting, and Landing a fish, are very hard to get the hang of. (even for an adult) The "tutorial" is useless, long, and you can't skip it. My son played it for about 30 minutes (15 minutes of that was the tutorial) and put it down. More than likely he will never play it again. I tried to play and ran into the same frustrations that he had. Earlier Reel Fishing for the PS was awesome, but save your money and skip this one.

Very dissapointing

I purchased this for my husband for valentine's day, i was really excited because he love's to fish and i thought with the weather cold outside, this would help his cabin fever. This game is extremely hard for even the seasoned fisherman. You can not get the WII controller to cast as instructed plus the rods do not pick up when you move them side by side and the Fisherman Guide quits talking after you put you name in the system as instructed. You get totally frustrated before you get use to the game
