Does the job. A bit heavy. It prevents scraping the paint on my RAV4 roof and makes placement onto roof much easier in windy conditions. The top cross piece (that canoe sits on) can be precariously close to rear hatch window if you lower the cross piece when driving and canoe is off. Tightening the cross piece bolt helps reduce rotation of cross piece when driving as above. All in all, I didn't think I'd like it … but I do.
