[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As described, this high-quality name-brand combination tool with SAE 12-point box ends aptly handles hitch balls with 3/4” and 1” shanks and their respective 1-1/8” and 1-1/2” nuts with reduced torquing %26 breaking effort with its 16” center-to-center lever arm length, which is not only longer than some of its competitors, it's less expensive and a great value to boot!

Good product, but you won't use it for anything else - but it's nice to have!

1 Use

I purchased the Reese Towpower hitch ball wrench to assist with putting on a new Reese ball hitch. It worked like a charm. This was better than getting out the adjustable wrench or the deep socket to do the same job. It is now kept in the tool box just in case in need to switch out the ball hitch. I would recommend this tool if you do not have the space to lug around other tools.

The similar item at Harbor Freight was a few bucks less with discount, but after  comparing the two items side by side and using them on an actual ball nut the difference is quite noticeable. The main difference is in the manufacture of the actual wrench end, so the Reece wrench from Walmart fit the ball nut better with less chance of damaging a ball nut with more use. The Harbor Freight wrench fit  loose on the nut and would probably  round a nut with repeated use. The Reece wrench was a keeper and the Harbor Freight wrench was returned to the Harbor for a refund.

I have seen worse wrenches. The casting could be a little better, but it seems strong enough. The price was right for what it is.
