We've bought several of these and have them set up all over the house—and they've been a huge help in keeping our very curious (and very fast 😅) toddler safe.

The extra height is what really sold me. A lot of gates are easy to climb or lean over, but this one gives that added peace of mind—especially for a toddler who is determined to explore everything.

What I love:

Extra tall = harder for little escape artists
Sturdy metal frame (doesn't feel flimsy or wobbly)
Opens both directions which makes daily use so much easier
Clean, simple look that blends in with home decor

Real-life use:
We use these for doorways, hallways, and to block off certain rooms. With multiple kids and a busy house, it's been so helpful to have reliable barriers that actually stay put.

Helpful tips:

Definitely install the wall cups—it makes a big difference in stability
Measure your openings first to make sure you're using the right extensions
Tighten everything evenly so the door opens and closes smoothly
The latch takes a second to get used to, but that's actually a good thing for safety

Mom note: this has held up against a determined toddler and daily use—so that's a win in my book 🙌

It does take 2 hands to open but can be closed with 1 hand. I used the pressure mount method versus screwing it into the door frame and my grown son was able to accidentally knock it down.  But it was very easy to install and reinstall after being knocked down.
When measuring the height, measure to the bottom of the doorknob if you intend to close the door behind it.

I really like the quality of this item.  It is sturdy and well-made.  It doesn't squeak or rattle and doesn't have any loose pieces.  Even the latch feels very solid and secure.   The quality is actually better than I expected.  I highly recommend this gate to keep babies or pets out of areas where they shouldn't be.

High quality Baby Gate

Installation took a little longer than expected but the gate fits very well. The paint on my door frame is delicate but was not affected at all. the gate has been sturdy and has not needed any adjustment after two months of daily use. just know the gate can only swing in one direction once installed. also came with an extender. My cat has not attempted to jump gate.

Easy to install. I had these for my kids and they work great! Now I use them so the pets don't go into the rooms they aren't supposed to be in. They don't try to jump over the gate.

Easy to install and lasts long

I dinged this safety gate one star due to the top railing being the same height as the door knob; higher or lower, would have been better. I will be able to raise the bottom rail off of the floor and maybe clear the door knob to underneath the railing. However, this would increase the trip hazard. It does work great in keeping the cats out of my small den area. The latch functions well.

Good Quality Safety Gate and Nice Looking

This pet gate wasn't nearly as sturdy as a different one I found at the same price from a different company. Pros: It was easy to install with good instructions lightweight materials. Cons: There were 3 inch gaps between the door bars (vs 2.5 inches on a comparable gate), the door only opened one direction, the lock on the bottom of the door was hard to maneuver, and the top locks were more two handed than one. I don't recommend this gate for dogs of more than 30 lbs, and definitely not dogs that have shown any aggression toward each other. This gate is too lightweight for that. Plus the other gate that was the same price was 4 inches taller and had a wider doorway.

Not as sturdy as another gate at the same price

The only thing I liked about this gate was that it was tall gate. But with that being said, my 3 year old did figure out how to open it properly with no issues the next day after installling  it hence defying the purpose of having the gate. I have another gate over the kitchen that was installed for over a year with no issue doing great. This product in my opinion definitely needs a better locking mechanism. I had to tie the handle with a ribbon so they don't open it. Hate the hussle of returning but may need to.

The gate is a beautiful color, it went together pretty easily and the latch for the gate is impressive- my dog couldn't get it open at all.  
I guess the impressive latch on it was its downfall as the weld broke on the top of the gate and now it's a hazard with sharp edges and no way to fix it. I couldn't give it a rotten grade because of the color and the latch but the easy way it broke is why I had to mark it down

The metal is warped so the gate doesn't close all the way like it's supposed to. also the only way to open and close the gate is to take it off the wall.... so it's pretty much worthless. and dangerous to have around young children. very very poor quality item.
