I'm a 59 year old woman, who has a very tall maple tree, with branches that were touching the ease troughs of the house. This "tool" got those branches down very swiftly. I don't have very much upper body strength,( and the pole is well made, but heavy when extended), but luckily I was able to rest it on a branch just below the one I was cutting, and got those branches down.

Smartly designed to be either an extension pole saw or chain saw.  The handle, pole and saw snap together easily  Well-balanced for tall limbs, and chain properly adjusted at assembly -- ready to go.  Be sure to fully snap in each piece until you hear a "click" or electrical connection won't work.

Well-designed unit

I had a fairly large maple in the backyard that needed to be taken down.  This pole saw did the job lickety split.  It is nicely made with a very solid pole.  It is easily converted from the pole saw into a standard electric chain saw.  When fully extended, the whole thing can be a bit unwieldy because of the weight.  That being said, I would rather have a well built product than a flimsy one.  Overall very happy with my purchase.  As a bonus, the price was well below other retailers.

Excellent Pole Saw

This pole saw has 2 feet more reach than the other one I own. The extra reach helps keep me off the ladder during clean up from the ice storm.  It 's a little heavy, but balance is achievable with the great handle provided. The offset of the saw helps keep the weight on the branch being cut.  So far it has been a great investment.

I priced this out on both Lowe's and Home Depot and the best price was definitely at walmart.ca...half of Home Depot's price actually. This is a great little machine. The reach is perfect, it's easy to handle and it does the job. It went through an 8 inch branch with no issue whatsoever, while fully extended. I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.

Perfect

Bought this a few weeks ago, fast delivery. I've used this saw a couple times to trim my neighbors trees that overhang onto my property. The saw made quick work of the limbs. However, when the pole is fully extended the saw is a little heavy and awkward. Other than that, diffinately worth the purchase .

Good saw

Exactly what I needed. Box was severely damaged but the tool was pristine. Tool is surprising heavy at full extention.

Heavy but manageable

I purchased the Remington Ranger 8-Amp chainsaw, partly because of the brand name and the price.

I received the item, but noticed that the box was in poor shape, but I was told if there was problem bring the unit back.

I filled the unit with the specified oil and started cutting branches, it worked perfectly, I put the unit aside for a couple of days, unfortunately a couple later I noticed the unit had leaked all over the place, I figured that possibly I hadn't tighten the filler cap, enough, so I proceeded to do so.

After cleaning the mess again, I left the unit sit for another couple of days, again the unit failed and leaked all over, again.

So I decided to return it.

I ordered it thinkinging it was brand new !  i arrived at the store     the box the handed me was busted up ripped    everything  was lose inside   ,

not fair walmart !!!
