I was a little skeptical about this remote based on a couple of the reviews. My remote came with instructions. Super easy to pair and set up. All i had to do was unplug the safety cord, hold down the power button on the remote until it rapidly beeped and plug thr safety cord back in. good to go! Works like a charm.

So it works, but no instructions or general information were sent along with it. I had to figure out what kind of speciality battery it took and track one of those down and then it took me 20 minutes of searching the web to figure out how to pair the remote to the treadmill. In case this helps anyone else, make sure you have a CR2032 battery on hand and then detach the magnetic security sensor on the treadmill and hold the remote power button for 3 seconds which should make the treadmill beep and sync with the remote. After all of that it works great. Just would have been super helpful information to supply along with the remote!

It works, but detective work required

unfortunately, I remote I received didn't operate my treadmill. It is a larger remote and though the remote works (light came on when buttons pushed) it didn't turn on nor make my treadmill run. so I have to return it. My remote looks like the one in the picture above, abit smaller than the one I received.

This tiny remote costs almost 40 bucks, takes 2 weeks to arrive, then DOESN'T HAVE A BATTERY! Ridiculous
