Graphics Quality

I've been a fan of the Resident Evil series for a long time, and have in fact played every single game in the series. For people who read reviews that say "This game is terrible, it should have been more like Resident Evil 4 instead", don't listen to them, instead buy Resident Evil 4 if you think that's a better game, but if you want an excellent shooter, ranking right up there with Link's Crossbow Training, then grab this game.

Two players can play this game together. Some of the levels are single player, but those are just bonus levels. Don't buy this game for younger children and if you have problems with: the undead, giant animals and the killing of said giant animals, realistic blood, and mild language.

Resident Evil for Dummies

walmart.com

This is by far one of the most easiest Resident Evil Games to beat. I beat the whole game in 2-3 days. With little to no help from cheats. This game is by far the best video game of 2007.

The Graphics are awesome and the sound on my surround system was great. It felt like I was in Resident Evil fighting the zombies and mutant creatures from the t-virus and g-virus.

Keep the on-rails shooters coming CAPCOM.
You guys Rock!!!!

Easy Game

I loved Resident Evil 2 and 3. I started with RE2 and then played RE1 so it was very evident that the game lagged and didn't handle near as well as RE2 which is why I didn't care for RE1 very much. I still liked the game and played it all the way through several times, but mainly for the story value of the game. Which leads me to this game. I haven't had time to play very far into the game yet, but what I have played is awesome. I tend to like the control of the older systems (maybe because I am old) over the Wii, but the control is not too bad. I put it on easy and I still had to play the end bad guy of the first level three times to beat him the first go around because I am not completely comfortable with the controls but it is getting better. The main reason I bought this game was for the story value. I am happy with the results so far. The point I am trying to make is that if you like the RE series, buy this game. It is a little different than the others, but still great! If you liked the break-in-the-action sequences of RE3 where you had to choose a course of action, you will like the set-up of this. You don't stop like in RE3, but alternate routes are available and your guy pauses to let you decide. The kicker is that you have to shoot doors or windows to unlock this other route, and you don't know that they are there. The whole point of the RE series to me is the gore, suspense, and puzzle solving added into a massive and in-depth storyline. RE Umbrella Chronicles doesn't deviate from this formula. There are better graphics than RE1, 2, or 3 so if you were fine with those you're covered. There is still that eerie silence where you know that something is going to jump out at you, yet somehow you are always caught off gaurd and surprised. I love that. All in all I believe it is worth the $50 for me.

Resident Evil Rocks!!

It's a great game if you know what to expect from it. It's not like the traditional RE games with an over the shoulder or fixed camera perspective, it plays like a more traditional arcade shooter. The player doesn't control much movement and all you do is point and shoot, so it's like RE: Survivor only A LOT better. The story mode is great for people who didn't play any of the earlier games because it does a decent job of summarizing the plot lines and back-story to the Resident Evil franchise up to RE4.

Great Game

I have been a huge fan of the Resident Evil series since the release of the first game for playstation. I have to say this game brings back great and fun memories of way back then. Plus it gives a whole new perspective on the storyline since its in first person view and not third person like the original games. I loved this game and the replay value is great since you can choose more than one way to go. Highly Recommended.

LOOOVE IT!!

My husband loved to play resident evil, back when we had the ps1, now that we finally purchased another game console after 10 years, this was the fisrt game we wanted to buy. My husband and my son love to play this game, we also purchase the zapper to play with it.This game is is not like the RE we use to play u really dont have to to do much thinking but it's still very fun to play. I dont think it's scary at all, my 5 year old daughter watches them play all the time and doesn's get frieghtned. She gets more scared of crocodiles in tv. so dont see the MA rating maybe a teen rating would had been better

Great Game!

Go ahead and get this game for your kids, i'm only 16, and i loved it. When i first started playing i was disappointed by the preset movements, your player moves automatically through the level and pauses to let you shoot the zombies, much like an arcade shooter. However, as the game progresses you actually have to put some skill into it. The bosses can be difficult if you don't save up your ammo. The two player control can be a little confusing at times because the only difference between player one and two is a little colored dot at the center of the reticle. This game supports zapper use which i believe enhances play. There are a bunch of single player missions you can unlock that intertwine with the story of the game making it easier to understand. The graphics are great for the characters during the cinematics, but most anything that isn't a character looks just like regular game play. There are objects everywhere through out the levels that have hidden objects and weapons inside them.

good game

Anyone who bought this game expecting it to be anything but an on-the-rails shooter just wasn't paying attention.

The gameplay for this game is fantastic when you go in knowing what kind of game it is. I was impressed that they did so well with this type of shooter.

What makes this game a real jewel though is how it immerses you into the world of Umbrella and Resident Evil in general. This game goes over in detail every aspect of Umbrella and how they pertained to the RE games. It goes through every game that took place in Raccoon City and lets you see what each character was going through at the time. It even goes through the before misty journey of Albert Wesker in Resident Evil 1, which was beyond exciting for me.

This game is a must for anyone who has stuck with this game since RE's debut. If you've read the books, played the games, watched the movies, and you just want to see everything put together in one experience, this is the game for you.

This is for the real fans

This is a great first person arcade rail shooter. If you are new the series then you are in for treat because the game basically chroniclizes the main events in the Resient Evil Series. If you are a fan of the series you are in for a treat as well. With the new content to unlock and a new perspective of playing, veterans should be satisfied as well. You must realize that this game is more of an arcade expirience however, rather than a full length adventure game like the other Resident Evils. But the game is still delivers hours of fun and is worth purchasing if you just want some suspensful fun with the Wii Remote!

Great Arcade Expirience!

Very cool game. Can be a little bit scary at times for those younger types. I would suggest that you get the gun attachment for the Wii controller. This is not a game for little kids to play. It is for the mature types. I have alot of fun playing this game and it is funny when things jump out and even scare me at times.

Resident Evil

Wow.... What a waste. I LOVE the RE games and was sooo excited to get this one only to play it and end up completely let down. The fact that you can't move around on your own and solve all the puzzles that RE is known for really was a huge disapointment. It's basically an Evil Dead arcade game with the RE name. Yes the graphics are great but that is about all I can say for this one. What a sad day for RE fans...
