The plastic was the perfect cover for my wool runner rug. I have older dogs that have accidentally wet the rug but now it doesn't happen.

We bought this to protect our carpets from our cats' claws. While it was easy to cut and shape to our door frames and wide enough to protect the carpet on both sides of the door, it was noticeably thinner than other similar products we have bought. I will probably stable it down to the carpet so I doesn't become any more of a tripping hazard.

Good price and thinner than expected but it works.

We purchased these to protect our new carpets while moving into our home.  They do protect the carpet but they move around easily.  There are small spikes (for lack of better words) that grip the carpet but the plastic is not very thick and doesn't hold well.  They don't lay flat as you can see.  While I do suggest these for low traffic areas, I would not use them where people are walking across a lot.
