I just started to play Resistance: Fall of Man, it's a great game. It looks like at first something from Call of Duty game, that old Call of Duty game on PS2, but it's not. Lots of action and shooting, sometimes you have to shoot the creatures a few times. Not only do you have to deal with the creatures but you also have other things that you have to shoot.

Could not get enough of this game...finished it in 19 hours in 2 days. Easily one of the best games I have ever played since Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil 2. I purchased the game when the price dropped to $30 and found the game to be extremely worth the buy. Would have paid $60 for the game had I have known how much fun it would be.

Sweet F-ing Game

I like the split screen campaign co-op local couch of the game. That is the main reason I bought the game. I think the whole series of Resistance has the same co-op. I tried the first one to see if I liked the game and I am well pleased. You can also play single campaign and have a save of both games at the same time. I purchased the PS3 version.

Great co-op game

One of the reasons i bought the ps3, a great game to keep u entertained while u wait for Unreal Tournament 3, Haze, Metal Gear Solid 4, and GTA 4, this game has great online play that will keep u interested for a long time till the games up top come out. This game is way better than halo 3 because you can actually sprint and the online maps are way bigger!!! If you dont have a ps3 go buy one and buy Resistance i will meet u online.

A REASON TO BUY THE PS3

Excellent game for the PS3! If you love first person shooters, a must buy. Probably one of if not the best game for the PS3 system yet. Excellent graphics, good story, good controls and ease of gameplay. You will want to play through the game numerous times as it is that fun.

Resistance:Fall of Man review

unlike alot of first person shooters where you have to duck and hide staying under cover in this game will get you killed. this gameis fast paced action shoving you right into the battle with no holding back. first time through the story mode has 8 incredible weapons and second time through you get 16 with a great story and a heavily detailed multiplayer mode. sequel is coming out soon so get the first part of the story now at a greatest hits price that makes it even more of a value.

gritty in your face adreniline rush

I actually played Resistance 2 before playing the first game. That did not negatively affect my experience. The original is a lot of fun, with easy to learn controls and a difficulty level that is challenging yet not impossible for those of us who are late in life gamers. I really enjoyed the setting, and the narrated cut scenes add a lot to the story and overall experience of the game. I highly recommend Resistance.

Since I only had this last month (Oct 2008), comparing it with my current games it kind of feels outdated. It came as part of a bundle with the PS3 I bought so I can't really complain. Resistance 2 is out which is a direct sequel to this so you might want to get that instead.

Still Playable But Kind Of Outdated

The disc had some deep scratches in it that I knew would be an issue before even trying it.  They claim to test these games but I couldn't even get past the opening dialogue without it freezing up due to not being able to read past the scratches.   Obviously they don't really test these games.   A simple eye test should have resulted in this game being thrown away not sold to someone.
