I didn't know this was 1st Generation.  I just got it today.  I'm upset.  I bought this to use for keynote (slides for presentations) for teaching.  I can't down load any apps. I can't update from ios 9.3.5 to ios 10.  Apps require ios 10 to down load. It's obsolete before I even got it.
