Did my research and decided on the ScanSnap iX1300 and I am very happy with this purchase. The scanner is small, unobtrusive, easy to set up, I ran a 10-page test document within minutes of unpacking the scanner. Excellent page feeder, no snags, beautiful scan quality. This is saving me so much time during the busy work seasons. Note: I am a Mac user and some reviews stated it was difficult to set up and glitchy. I did not experience any of that, it has been working smoothly since Day 1.

I have lots of pictures from before our daughter up to present of Great Grand Children. I decided its time to quit filling boxes with pictures. 
I purchased this scanner to scan all my pictures. When they are all scanned I can put them of USB sticks. This way I can make some for each of them. This will be nice for their wedding and baby shower pictures. 
I just set it up and it was a breeze. I sat down and expected a headache because nothing is easy any more. This was incorrect with this scan. I installed the  software on computer. Then tried scanning some  pictures. They were on computer almost right away. They were saved to my picture file. That was it. Done with practice and now I can get started. Scans fast both sides and words I have on the back are right there. 
So excited and so happy I purchased this. Thanks for my scanners. Love it .

iX1300 Scan Snap

I love this small scanner. Being a mobile notary and many times needing to scan documents on the road for attorneys or to email to others, I needed a scanner I could take with me and not have a big footprint in the car. Many of my fellow notaries were recommending another brand but after a lot of research and frankly a discussion with ChatGPT, I came upon the ScanSnap iX1300. Not only is it fast and perfect duplicates, it can be sent directly to your phone for quick emailing or saving to your favorite cloud drive. With a carrying case I purchased separately and a battery device, I can handle much of the workload I need on the road. Otherwise it's sitting on a table near my desk at home, ready to use for other things such as receipts and personal documents, so I can get rid or hard copies that clutter my desk and drawers. Highly recommended.

Great scanner for home or mobile office

I find this scanner very reliable, fast, and easy to use.  It was also extremely east to install.  I am 82 and not savvy with hardware installation but I had no problem at all getting this scanner set up and using the wireless option.  It arrived the day after I ordered it!

I've had the ScanSnap iX1300 for a little while now, and I'm honestly blown away by how good this compact scanner is. It's small, but the moment you feed a page into the front, it wakes up instantly, pulls the document in, scans both sides fast, and sends it straight to ScanSnap Home without any fuss. The automatic paper handling is one of my favorite parts — the feed arm pops out on its own when you open the top, and the return tray actually slides out during scanning to catch the pages, then tucks itself back in when it's done. It feels incredibly well‑designed.
The setup was simple, the wireless connection has been rock‑solid, and the ScanSnap software is surprisingly powerful. It even names documents automatically based on the first line if you want it to. The scan quality is excellent — better than I expected from something this compact. I'm very picky about how my equipment works, and this scanner has been perfect for my needs. I'm really happy with this purchase and wouldn't trade it for anything.

ix1300 - The Compact Powerhouse I Didn't Know I Needed

I purchased the Ricoh ScanSnap iX1300 because the old iX500 would no longer work after Apple's most recent OS update.  The old one still works like new, but not on my Mac.  I'm so glad I bought the new one!  Set up took 5 minutes, including downloading the app and learning the nuances of the new machine.  I use it wirelessly, but it can be connected, as well.  It is slim and sleek on my desk, opens easily, contains completed scans without shooting them across the room (automatic document feeder with a "U-turn" path).  It accommodates odd things like credit cards, brochures, passports and the like in a front-feed slot.  It's fast (scans 20-page documents quickly and is capable of scanning about 30 pages per minute) and it's quiet.  The app is as simple or as complex as you want it to be.  I typically scan directly to folders, which it does with little effort.  I love this little time-saver!  I only wish I had bought it sooner!

This scanner will scan to file, scan to e-mail, scan to print, scan both sides of a document automatically - it takes so many steps out of the work of saving my documents - I LOVE it! I was provided a ScanSnap ix 1300 at work - the functions available on this scanner are so well rounded and thought out that I bought one for myself for home use. I would recommend this scanner to anyone who scans to file (receipts, records for pet treatment, bill payments, transfer bulky paper files to electronic files, scan RPG documents and email to players) I have put hours of use on my scanner with no problems or hitches.

What I love is the simplicity of ix1300. It does exactly what it is supposed to do - SCAN documents very perfectly.
I love the size - for my home office and 20 sheet feeder is more than adequate for my humble needs

Good little desk scanner

The product looks very professional and minimalistic. However, despite numerous attempts I cannot get this to connect to my wifi or my desktop. Confusing and contradictory messages. I really wanted to like this product but I'm thinking about returning it as it's useless..
