At least these carts are still available. The printer has been discontinued a while.

But seriously, printers are a racket. It's been this way for many years. Manufacturers sell printers for low prices then gouge on the consumables. And they know they've got you, because no aftermarket inks or toner is going to produce the same colors or quality as OEM, since OEM inks and toner are patented, so nobody else CAN legally reproduce them. Then there are other issues like leaky rebuilt carts, etc.

Obviously, OEM is best, but the high price of Ricoh carts is the reason for the 2-star deduction. It probably costs Ricoh 5 bucks to make this cart.
