Ease Of Use

I bought this so I wouldn't need to tear huge holes in my drywall to find water leaks.  It's worked very well and I use it for work when I need to look in to walls to find cables.

Does Exactly What I need

ridgid.com

We purchased the device to locate leaks behind the walls. It worked excellent. It has a light intensity control that made it possible to view things up close without image being blown-out. I kept checking the lens thinking that for sure we had to have scratched it after certain views, but it is still in perfect condition. Very pleased.

Micro CA-150

We had a skunk family made residence under our foundation where the sewer line exited leaving a little room to get in. Our floor is concrete with in-floor water heating, so it was like Florida in the winter for them. They sprayed and the smell was unbearable. We needed a camera to find out if living and/or dead creaters were in the large compartment they had built. The camera worked well, no live or dead rodents spoted, so we were able to deal with the problem and the integrity of the floor. We decided the inspection camera is a good thing to have in hand for many applications.

Works well ... good value

This camera works awesome for seeing inside of walls without destroying them and perfect for waste and overflows. I've even used it to find a deodorant can in a toilet.

Great tool for the truck.

Very easy to use camera with really good screen resolution. Only takes stills though which isn't a big deal mostly. The fact that it doesn't have a rechargeable battery pack is its biggest downfall, especially in this era of cordless tools.

Easy to use

The Micro CA-150 Inspection Camera really is a nice piece of equipment and very handy.  It's easy to use and the controls are not cumbersome.  My main issue lies with the camera lens itself.  Since day one, this camera has had dust inside the lens that I can't get out.  It irritated me so much that I returned it to the store and got a replacement.  Within a couple of days that lens also had dust in it, but it wasn't as bad as the first camera.  It's not great trying to diagnose a problem when you're trying to look around flecks of dust, or shaking the camera trying to get the dust to move to the edge so you can get a good look.  I tried reaching out to stores and even Rigid at one point but no one could seem to provide me with a replacement lens or camera.  It's so easy to use that I want to keep it, I just wish this dust issue would go away. If the dust issue were resolved I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I really want to love the CA-150 Inspection camera

My product C-100 does not appear in Ridgid literature. 
I have had good results with the CA-100 which is similar to the CA150 but has no storage card. The only issue that we had was it is too short to get into many locations and the add on extensions are expensive. I bought 2 of the 6 foot extensions and the first one out of the package would not light the LED's and had video interference. When I went to replace it they had no stock and now have to wait 2-3 weeks. Jobs are on hold waiting for the replacement. You also want to have a bunch of batteries handy because they do go down fast. There is a lot going on so that is understandable. Extensions have fine connection threads so be sure to wipe flush and dry after using and before storage.

Review of CA-100

My workplace bought this for inspections, of course.  Eager to give it a try and popped in some rechargeable AAs and could not get the battery cartridge back in no matter which way I tried.  The fit was so tight that the batterie compartment ended stuck within the handle.  I had to remove the fasteners from the handle in order to remove the battery compartment.  I'm assuming I will have to find batteries that fit but I believe most AA batteries are similar in size.  Three stars because to be fair, I haven't used the product yet.

AA Batteries do not fit....

Shortly after purchasing the camera, the inspection head stopped worked. Every time it would bump against something the screen would turn green and freeze up. Garbage, and unable to get it warrantied.

Camera Head Grounds Out

The light intensity at its brightest setting is totally inadequate to view dark areas such as inside pipe or wall cavities…

Check out the offerings from other brands BEFORE you reflex purchase the Ridgid name, then decide…
