Very nice addition to my tool box but I couldn't get the plugged sink open. Called a plumber and couldn't get it open either. The pipe was cast attached to galvanized so we replaced the drain all together.

Perfect for sinks

A nice handy tool that I keep around and takes care of small to medium problems .nice and fast.I use both manual and power from my Ridgid 18volt drill/driver.

Quick and Easy

The Power Spin saved me a plumbers call and expense. I had  an inch & half waste pipe blocked from kithen sink which ran down to basement then below cement floor to main. I connected the Power Spin to a cordless drill and within 20 minutes I had pipe cleaned out and water running without any slow down or back up. This tool paid for itself with just this 1 time use. Read the directions before you start and you will have no problems.

OPEN WIDE

The cable quality is better than many and autofeed is a godsend. However there needs to be a alert coating on the first 3-6 feet of the cable like red paint so one doesn't retract the cable head into the automatic feeder. This is a design failure. If you paint a section near the head of the cable this will warn when one is reaching the end of the retraction and slow to prevent damaging the retraction apparatus.

Works as advertised.

The wire is strong and can handle most any clog and pipe system. The autofeed is great but the trigger to engage it is too large and forces you to use your whole hand as opposed to just a finger or two. They should have a way to lock the trigger in place so it's a constant autofeed too allow you more stability when feeding.

Solid tool but trigger grip an issue.

the day I bought it, it didn't work properly.  Rigid said they will replace, but they are on backorder!  If I ever receive replacement, I will try and hope it works properly!!

Lacking Stability

I bought this about two months ago and on my first use the housing around the fish tape broke.   The housing is plastic and the slots holding the screws literally ripped apart.  When I tried to get it replaced under the stated lifetime warranty, RIDGID denied the claim.  Cheap product, warranty not honored.  I will not be buying from this company again.
