Been using it for some time now, works great, decent on the weight of holding over your head ' not bad on the tight to reach spots as well. High cycle count so can use for a long time before services.

I purchased the RP 241 (catalog number 125473).  I ran over 80' of type k pipe (3/4", 1/2", and 1") with a variety of fittings such as ball valves, reducer tee fittings, in addition to replacing a new water heater.  The only time I had to use a torch ws when I could not fit the tool in tight places on angles.  I do not have the c1 ring set which would have made it so I would not had to have use the torch at all.

If you do plumbing in any capacity, this is the tool for you!

*If Ridgid would be interested in me reviewing the c1 propress ring kit, I'd be happy to do it!

Very nice!

I was hesitant for years on purchasing a press kit but decided I wanted to see what it was all about because of a difficult attic and crawl space jobs I had lined up. No regrets. Worth every penny. I liked propress so much I went out and got megapress, pureflow and zoomlock jaws to go along with the propress.

We have had it for a year

I bought this as a spare for an RP240 that needed service.  After 385 presses, this unit failed while in the field on a job.  (It would cycle, but the jaws wouldn't move.)  Ridgid Corporate Service was booked too far out, so I sent it to a Ridgid service center in CA who turned it around almost immediately.  They had to clear air out of the lines.  Been working fairly well since then, but it's starting to do the same thing.  I don't trust it as my sole press tool on an off-site job.

Failed after 385 presses, fixed, failing again

I used this on a few jobs the tool did what it was supposed to but I bought a slew of new propress fittings for the jobs and had multiple leaks, I thought it was just a bad batch of fittings so I went and got more somewhere else still had pretty consistent leaks not very pleased at all

It works but not all the time

I purchased the RP-241 from our plumbing supply house, I received it in September 2021. By October it needed to be sent in for repairs. According to the tool connect app, I had 64 successful crimps. Suddenly the tool quit functioning, it would not complete a crimp. it had never been wet, dropped, or misused in any way. It was in my possession the entire time. luckily I had access to another brand crimp tool too finish the job. Our local supply house rep, and Ridgid tool rep have been very helpful in the warranty process. But I now know I cannot fully trust the tool, even after receiving it back from getting repaired. My hope was to convert all of our tools to Ridgid, but that seems less likely now.
