I clean new homes Post construction. All 3 phases. This vacuum has saved me a lot of time. It rolls around with me nicely from room to room collecting sheetrock dust and debris like a charm. Being able to contain all of it in disposable easy to use bags is the best!

I bought the ridgid wd4070 and vt2534 last month. I'm planning to use this for auto detailing. The vacuum is very easy to use, portable and powerful. So far i been using it as our home vacuum and it was excellent. Dimensions is just enough for me so i can easily maneuver around. I add a detailing kit for more detailed jobs. Also i like the longer flexible hose.

Great equipment for the job!

I have been using the 4 gal vacuum with sanders and a battery powered planner. I am trying to finish new doors for my house and the honey do list keeps adding to my already long list of chores. Luckily, vacuuming up wood shavings from the handheld planner and the sanders isn't apart of that list. I do wish that I could find vacuum adapters so I would have to hold the hose onto the tool while working.

Sucks a bunch!

Bought this vac not for this reason and used it to vac my ducts overhead in the house. Had to get another flex hose. I got the bags that go inside the vac to save the filter. This is Smaller and more portable than my shopvac brand i had

Compact and POWERFUL

This is my second Rigid Wet/Dry vac, I had the first one for over 6 years without a problem but the switch went bad.  Rigid confirmed my vac was registered and under warranty, I had to send in some pics of the old one and they replaced with a new one, same model. I love my vac, it's small enough to minimize space required but still powerful and does a great job cleaning up.

Rigid 4 Gal Wet/Dry vac

I bought this shop vac in combo with the car vacuum hose kit.  Good combo for the price.  Nice compact unit with strong suction.  Mainly intending to use it for dust collection when woodworking, using a separate hose kit to connect it to the tools.  The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because one of the rear plastic wheels was broken when I opened the box.  I exchanged the unit for a different one but the wheels seem cheaply made.

Good combo for the price.

The 7 foot Hose kinked from the first use.  Now, everytime I use it, it folds over at kink and I always have to adjust the vacuum so it straightens out. The kink weakened the hose.

Tug-A-Long Hose

Unfortunately I found trying to register this product was extremely difficult. Rigid has a separate division for vacuum products. I found rigid support was not really clued in to this fact. I must have repeated my model number 6 times before the rep realized it was a vac and sent me to a different company. Ridiculous really.

Compact and powerful

I purchased this small vacuum for use in the home for cleanups (dryer lint and exhaust system, spills, etc) as well as for dust collection for my wife's dollhouse and miniatures hobby. The saws and sanders create a lot of dust and attaching a vacuum to them prevents dust from going everywhere and it prevents breathing in fine airborne dust particles. It is important to use a vacuum bag, and ideally one that is made for drywall dust, as those can collect much finer particles. I have a large woodworking shop with an extensive dust collection system, as well as numerous independent vacuums for various smaller tools, and a lot of experience in managing dust created by machinery as well as that created by hand sanding. The vacuum works well, but it is extraordinarily loud for its size and for what it does, and is much louder than some of my much larger higher horsepower vacuums. It is loud to the point of needing hearing protection, which is not something the average homeowner or hobbyist would be expecting to need while using a small vacuum cleaner in the home. The company needs to do R&D into sound mitigation, as it certainly can be done, and it can be done without excessive expense through exhaust baffling. Most anyone would pay a little more for a quieter vacuum. I don't think I would purchase this unit again for the purposes listed above, and recommend that potential buyers do some research into quieter alternatives. This is unfortunate, as this company has a very large market and makes quality products, but they need to focus on other factors than simply how they can churn out products. They have a real opportunity to be a market leader through innovation, and I hope that they will eventually realize that their market reach could be even greater with better designed products.

4 Gallon Portable Wet/Dry Vac because it is small I use it to clean up sawdust and small construction debris  One has to wonder why they put the intake and exhaust on the same side The exhaust blows out where one is trying to clean up saw dust it gets blown around by the exhaust.

What were they thinking when they made it?
