Directions are easy to understand and follow.

Cute and simple game. Getting the boats to flip the dice gets old, so my kids just shake the dice in their hands. My almost five year old up to nine year old enjoy playing it and don't need any help.  Education applications for kids learning to compare small numbers. Social applications for learning to deal with defeat/loss and enduring to end of game.

This Jr version is adorable! We loved it! The little ships actually shoot the dice to roll them and my son got a huge kick out of that. The game was easy to set up and game play was easy to catch on  My only complaint is it was too short! We were done in less than ten minutes. For some kids that is great, especially if they are younger. My son wanted to play again and again lol. This will definitely be one of our faves for a while. Also, it isn't very similar to the original Risk, except for the claiming of islands, for anyone curious about that!

I wish it would explain a little more if there is only 2 players playing on what you are to do when you land on your own island. I assumed we get our own chest then. Other than that the game is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game has been fun for the whole family! First of all, this game is very easy to set up. All you have to do is take the ships out, and punch the tokens out. Once you get that done, you follow the instructions. The instructions are very easy to read and follow! This game comes with the game board, pirate tokens, pirate ships, dice and treasure cards. It is made for ages 5+, so it's super easy to figure out how to play it. The board itself is actually made really well, so it should hold up for a long time, even with younger kids playing it! The other pieces are also made really well, so I can see this lasting us a long time!

The first thing I noticed about this game is that it really is made for younger kids. I LOVE that it's set up so that younger kids are able to play it without getting frustrated. Your kids do not need to know how to read to play this game. You can play it with 2-4 players so it's fun for the whole family! All you have to do is roll the dice, move your ship and see what treasure you get. If you land on an island that another player is on, you put a dice in the ship and launch the dice to see who gets the higher number. This is super fun for kids because they love launching the dice!

All in all, this game has been so fun for the entire family. It's super easy to play, and it's a family game so everyone can play, even the younger family members! I highly recommend this game to everyone because it's just fun and engaging! Give it a shot, you will not regret it!

The game is fun and has different steps to keep things interesting for her. I liked that the game didn't take too long to play and it wasn't too complicated.

Super fun!

Fun game for younger kids. Not really risk strategy but still a fun game. The kids like that the boat is also your dice launcher when rolling. Makes a great birthday gift for something different than toys.

the ships are cool, but the game is to simple. my 5 year old thought it was boring and said he wished we would have bought the original version. i don't think the give kids enough credit and over simplify these games.  they need more strategy and thought for them while they are being played.
